This spoiler-forward guide follows the room-by-room clues in a community-authored walkthrough to help you find the game’s concealed storage and mechanisms. Fireproof Games describes the dollhouse as a place to “Examine dozens of detailed objects to discover which of them conceal hidden mechanisms,” but it does not publish an officially verified compartment checklist. Some finds are literal drawers or lockers; others are puzzle reveals rather than separate compartments.
Spoilers: The directions below name puzzle triggers and the items they reveal. Inspect objects from different angles, rotate or slide parts, and revisit rooms as new items unlock more interactions. The Eyepiece is needed for several concealed mechanisms.
Foyer and exterior
Mysterious box
Rotate and solve the ring puzzle on the mysterious box. Its puzzle compartment contains a Brass Mechanical Coin.
Deer statue outside
Turn the deer statue until the triangles face one another. This reveals a second Brass Mechanical Coin.

Desk drawers
Later Foyer progress uses a medallion and gears to expose a desk drawer. Continue through the smaller concealed drawer inside it to obtain a crank handle. In the final revealed desk drawer, place the small ball from the initial Foyer sequence in the groove along the drawer’s side. The secret compartment contains Fire Steel.
Study
Nested drawer
As you unlock the Curiosity Room and complete Study puzzles, inspect the lower drawer for a second, concealed drawer inside it. This is a separate find from the train mechanisms.

Model train
Align the model train parts, then use the Eyepiece to see the mechanism and obtain a small stud. Continue manipulating the train to open sections around it. A later sequence reveals a Winding Key; operate the train with it to open the upper desk section, which contains a lore book and a model chimney.
Kitchen
Water route and bottle
Progress the water-flow puzzle until water runs into the grate. You can then retrieve a bottle from the bottom.

Furnace and artifact puzzles
A furnace puzzle reveals a Small Wheel. Later, work through the concealed artifact mechanism involving a ball held in place and two handles; opening it yields a strange artifact. These are puzzle-gated reveals, not all ordinary storage compartments.
Curiosity Room
Work through the map and globe puzzles. The globe opens to reveal another puzzle; continue through the exhibition to obtain items used in other rooms, including a mask and a gemstone. Treat these as puzzle reveals rather than assuming each is a standalone drawer. When a newly revealed object does not seem to progress the room, note it and check where it may fit elsewhere in the dollhouse.

Japanese Room
Layered shelf panels
Inspect the strange shelves from behind as well as from the front. Slide the left panel right, move the newly exposed knob to the right, then slide both panels left. This sequence reveals a Carved Brass Sphere. Further cogwheel actions expose another mechanism.
Other shelf and pagoda finds
- Place the Ornated Wooden Capsule into the shelves. This yields an unfinished wooden sculpture and exposes another part of the mechanism.
- Continue the linked mechanism puzzles to uncover the Harpoon.
- Solve the parchment fan puzzle to open the hidden lower shelf, which contains a blunt knife.
- Check the top-right shelf panel for a hidden clam.
The panels conceal several layers of interactions; tapping only the objects already in view can leave these reveals undiscovered.

Maritime Room
The metal box depends on an item obtained outside this room. Load and use the Harpoon to shoot down the bell outside, then inspect the bell to get a cog with a handle. Fit that cog to the metal box. Solve the mechanisms on the box’s side and top to open its front locker, which contains a flint cable and a strange artifact.
Garden
Place the Small Stone Carving on the forehead of the statue at the back of the Garden. The statue opens a literal hidden compartment containing a small mannequin and the valve needed to redirect water. The remaining pillar and fountain puzzles use the Eyepiece to reveal and match symbols.
Art Studio and linked item reveals
Open the lower-left cabinet drawer in the Art Studio to find an Intricately Decorated Egg. Egg placements across multiple rooms form a linked chain that eventually yields the Small Stone Carving required for the Garden statue. This is why a room’s concealed reveal may depend on an item found elsewhere: keep track of unusual objects and revisit mechanisms when you acquire something that looks like it belongs in another scene.
If a compartment or mechanism will not open
- Check prerequisites: Some storage only appears after a linked puzzle yields a key item or changes the state of a room.
- Use the in-game hints: Fireproof recommends consulting hints when you think you cannot continue. Its help page is at Fireproof Games Help.
- For a stalled or bugged save: Fireproof suggests restarting the device or reloading the save for certain issues. For a persistent progression problem, pause and tap the words Game Paused five times to open recovery points. Choose the most recently opened room as appropriate; returning to an earlier room can mean replaying some progress.
- Do not mistake the Attic for the start: Fireproof’s help page notes that the Attic is near the game’s end.
Platforms and controls
The game is listed for PC on Steam, iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store, and Nintendo Switch. Nintendo’s UK listing describes its Switch version as download software, gives a release date of 24 September 2026, and lists touch-screen or Joy-Con motion controls. Store availability and controls can differ by platform and region, so check the listing for your location: Steam, Apple App Store, and Nintendo UK.
