Is there a clock puzzle in The Room: Old Sins?
A walkthrough posted September 8, 2021 documents a Foyer puzzle box and an in-game constellation alignment, but not a clock-hand puzzle. A clock-tower reference surfaced for The Room 3; that makes a mix-up between installments possible, but does not establish that this is the puzzle you mean. The documented Old Sins sequence below is the closest supported match, not a confirmed clock solution. AppUnwrapper’s Foyer walkthrough describes the steps.
How to solve the Foyer coin and constellation puzzle
- Get the coin. Inspect the bottom of the Foyer box and turn its dial to obtain the Silver Mechanical Coin.
- Unfold it in your inventory. Open the coin and pull one side up or down until it opens into a key-like shape.
- Use the coin on the box. Place the unfolded coin on the front of the box. Its mechanism turns and directs you to examine the side of the box.
- Put on the eyepiece. Look at the puzzle on the side. Use the dial at the bottom of the viewing area and the ring around the round screen to adjust the constellation.
- Align the constellation. Match the relevant portion of the constellation to the white guide lines. The walkthrough notes that the entire constellation is not supposed to fit inside the guide.
- Collect the Family Crest. Completing the alignment reveals the crest, which the guide says is used on the outside of the dollhouse.
Why this may not match what you see
Old Sins is built around exploring a detailed dollhouse and manipulating objects, with puzzles that can connect across rooms. Its eyepiece reveals hidden objects and puzzle details. So a puzzle involving a viewing lens and a constellation can be part of the game even though it is not a clock-face puzzle. The documented sequence specifically concerns the Foyer box; it does not identify a separate clock puzzle elsewhere in the game.
If your puzzle shows clock hands or a clock tower rather than the coin, eyepiece, and constellation described here, these instructions do not apply. The available evidence does not resolve which puzzle the phrase “clock puzzle” refers to, so confirm the installment and room before trying another solution.
