For a safe Novigrad story order, complete Pyres of Novigrad, Novigrad Dreaming, and Broken Flowers before starting Get Junior. During Get Junior, ask Dijkstra about Dandelion to begin Count Reuven’s Treasure. Before progressing past the Temple Isle investigation, finish The Gangs of Novigrad if you want to keep that side quest available.
Recommended Novigrad quest order
- Pyres of Novigrad
- Novigrad Dreaming
- Broken Flowers
- Get Junior, with Count Reuven’s Treasure started during it
This is a local story route, not a rule that all of Act 1 must be played in one linear order. Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige storylines overlap. The regional sequence is presented as a suggested route by the main-quest reference, while the Prima Games walkthrough gives the Novigrad sequence as Pyres of Novigrad, Novigrad Dreaming, Broken Flowers, and Get Junior.
What to do before Get Junior
Finish Broken Flowers and accept Fencing Lessons if you want it
Broken Flowers unlocks Get Junior. During Broken Flowers, you can also trigger Fencing Lessons; accept the offer if you want to pursue that side quest.
Complete The Gangs of Novigrad before moving past its opportunity
Get Junior is the important cutoff to watch. The walkthrough describes an opportunity to continue The Gangs of Novigrad after the Temple Isle investigation, then warns that advancing beyond that point makes the side quest impossible to complete. If you care about finishing it, complete it before moving on from that stage and check your quest log before advancing.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A community-maintained quest-flow graph also connects this part of the story with Honor Among Thieves, An Eye for an Eye, Fencing Lessons, and A Matter of Life and Death. Treat these as reminders to review desired side content, not as proof that every quest has the same precise cutoff. The available references do not provide a complete patch-by-patch catalogue of quest-state exceptions.
Get Junior or Count Reuven’s Treasure first?
You do not need to finish one of these two main quests before starting the other. Begin Get Junior at the bathhouse; after the opening encounter, speak with Dijkstra and ask about Dandelion. That conversation starts Count Reuven’s Treasure.

Some guides list both quests at level 12. Those are recommended levels, not mandatory game requirements.

Choices that affect your route
At the casino
Prima’s walkthrough recommends a peaceful approach and avoiding hostile dialogue about Whoreson Junior at the casino, because hostile choices lead to a larger fight. This is a route and combat preference, not a requirement for completing Get Junior.
Whoreson Junior’s fate
Later in the quest, you choose whether to spare or kill Whoreson Junior. The walkthrough says this decision matters to a subsequent quest, but does not establish every later consequence. Make the choice that suits your playthrough rather than relying on a promise about a particular ending.
