What the One UI 9.5 leak appears to show
Reports published August 14 and 17, 2026, attribute screenshots and video to leaker Fahad Ali Javed. The material is associated with internal software builds, including a build identified as CZH9. It offers a glimpse of work in progress, not a guarantee that these features will ship.
More depth in the interface
The August 14 report describes frosted or glass-like interface elements, backdrop shading, and subtle shadows around widgets, navigation controls, and header buttons. These visual details are based on leaked screenshots; the finished design could differ.
Search in the Phone app
The same report says the Phone app may gain integrated search, reportedly powered by Samsung AI. The described search could cover contacts, recent interactions, and related actions from the dialer. Samsung has not confirmed that feature or how it would work.

Wireless access to phone apps
The August 17 report describes screenshots suggesting that a laptop could access a phone’s apps and notifications wirelessly. The reported setup would require Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to be enabled and both devices to use the same Samsung account. This is a leaked feature claim, not a documented capability available to users.
A more reachable Finder search bar
Leaked screenshots reportedly show an option to place the Finder search bar on the home screen near the favorite-app dock. That placement could make search easier to reach, but the feature remains unconfirmed.

Camera layout changes and a reported 24MP option
The reported Camera refinements include rounded containers, adjusted spacing and controls, softer backgrounds, and blur effects. The August 17 report also describes a native 24MP option in the base Galaxy S26’s Camera controls in an internal build. That is not evidence that consumers can currently select 24MP or that the option will remain in a release.
Redesigned fingerprint enrollment
The fingerprint enrollment screen reportedly features a more prominent fingerprint graphic, scan progress, and animation. As with the other interface changes, the report is describing internal-build material rather than a confirmed final screen.

How strong is the evidence?
The reports describe two kinds of feature evidence: screenshots and video attributed to Javed and associated with internal builds. Those can indicate what Samsung may be developing, but they do not establish that a feature is finished, enabled for public testing, or scheduled to ship. Android Authority’s August 14 report also says Samsung had not announced One UI 9.5 and warns that development features can change before beta or stable release.
A separate SamMobile report, updated August 5, found a One UI update-banner asset in leaked Galaxy S26 FE firmware. SamMobile cautions that the banner does not mean the firmware itself is based on One UI 9.5. It is distinct from the screenshots and video describing features, and it does not establish that the S26 FE will launch with One UI 9.5 or qualify for an update.

No. The reports describe One UI 9.5 as unreleased and based on internal builds; they do not document a public beta or stable download. The Galaxy S26 series is the main device context in the leaked-build reporting, but no official eligible-device list has been established. Do not treat any particular Galaxy model as confirmed for an update.

There is also no confirmed launch date. Predictions that the software could arrive alongside Galaxy S27 devices, or that a beta might come first, are forecasts rather than Samsung commitments. Samsung has not announced a One UI 9.5 release schedule.

What to take away from the discovery
- The newly surfaced material is leak reporting based on internal-build screenshots and video, not an official Samsung feature announcement.
- The reported changes span interface polish, Phone search, possible phone-to-laptop app access, Finder placement, Camera controls, and fingerprint enrollment.
- The S26 FE firmware banner is not proof that the firmware runs One UI 9.5 or that the phone is eligible.
- Features, release timing, public beta availability, and device eligibility remain unconfirmed.
