For people using iPhones and Android phones together, choose a calendar app around the account that holds your events—not the phone brand. Google Calendar and Outlook both support iOS and Android; Apple Calendar can show Google events on an iPhone, but the evidence here does not establish it as an Android option.
Start with the account that owns your calendar
A calendar app is only useful if it can show the calendars your household or team already relies on. First identify where the events live: a Google account, Microsoft 365 or Exchange account, iCloud, or a mix. Then check that the app you choose can connect to those accounts on each person’s device.
Google documents Calendar syncing on Android and iPhone/iPad, and says iPhone users can either install Google Calendar or display Google events in Apple Calendar. Google’s calendar sync instructions cover those routes. Seeing an account’s events in an app does not, by itself, establish that every event type or change will sync both ways; verify the behavior for the specific account and app version.
Compare the options that work across platforms
| Option | Platform fit | Account and calendar fit | Sharing and editing | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Calendar | Google documents its app and syncing for Android and iPhone/iPad. | Google events; Google’s iPhone app listing also says it can display device calendars, including Exchange and iCloud. | Google describes shared calendars where others can view, add, or modify events; confirm the permission level for each collaborator. | Households or teams whose schedules center on Google, including mixed iPhone/Android groups. |
| Microsoft Outlook | Available for iOS and Android, according to Microsoft. | Works naturally where Microsoft 365 or Exchange is already the work hub; Outlook mobile combines calendar with email, contacts, and files. | Microsoft documents per-person sharing permissions and the ability to remove access. | People who want calendar alongside work email and other Microsoft services. |
| Apple Calendar | The evidence cited here supports use on iPhone, including displaying synced Google events; Android availability is not established. | Can serve as an iPhone interface for Google events. A shared Google or Microsoft account can be the cross-platform calendar source. | Set access and editing permissions on the underlying shared account; do not assume the iPhone app itself provides a common Android experience. | iPhone users who prefer Apple Calendar while coordinating through a Google or Microsoft account. |
Choose Google Calendar when Google is the shared source
Google Calendar is a straightforward candidate when family or team events already live in Google accounts and members use both mobile platforms. Google’s iPhone app listing says it can show Google events alongside other device calendars, including Exchange and iCloud, and describes shared calendars with view, add, or modify access. These are Google’s own feature descriptions, not independent comparative tests. Google Calendar’s iPhone listing also describes customizable views, widgets, and tasks.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Before inviting people, decide whether each person should only see events or be allowed to add or modify them. Shared calendar access is not the same as granting access to the account itself; use the narrowest permission that supports the collaboration.
Choose Outlook when work already runs through Microsoft
Outlook is a sensible first option when work scheduling is in Microsoft 365 or Exchange and users benefit from seeing email, calendar, contacts, and files together. Microsoft documents Outlook mobile for iOS and Android, along with calendar sharing that lets an owner set permissions for individual people and remove access later. See Microsoft’s Outlook mobile calendar-sharing guidance.

- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
For an organizational account, the employer may control which apps and sync methods are allowed. Check workplace policy before adding a managed calendar to a personal app or device.

If an iPhone user prefers Apple Calendar, Google documents a route for syncing Google events into it. That can work in a mixed-device group if the shared calendar itself is hosted in an account everyone can access, such as Google or Microsoft. Android users should use an app available for Android to reach that same account.

Check permissions, privacy, and work controls
- Confirm who owns the calendar. A person or organization controls the account and can manage access; the app is the interface used to view or edit events.
- Match permissions to the task. View-only access may be enough for a shared family schedule; collaborators who need to schedule or change events require an appropriate edit permission.
- Check Android app access. Google documents an Android control for whether Calendar data is shared with other apps. Turning it off can affect system features, including automatic Do Not Disturb during meetings. See Google’s Android Calendar data-sharing guidance.
- Follow organization policy for work accounts. Microsoft documents enterprise configuration controls that can affect native calendar synchronization. A work account may be subject to administrator settings even when an app offers a feature. See Microsoft’s Exchange mobile-device policy documentation.
A practical way to decide
- List the calendars that must be included. Note which account owns each one and which people need access.
- Choose the shared account before the app. Prefer the account collaborators already use, rather than creating a second calendar that can split invitations and updates.
- Check app availability on every phone. Google Calendar and Outlook are documented options for both iPhone and Android; Apple Calendar is supported here only as an iPhone route.
- Set individual sharing permissions. Give each person view or edit access as needed, then verify they can see the right calendar on their device.
- Test a low-stakes change. Create or update a test event and confirm the result appears where expected before relying on the setup for important appointments.
- For work calendars, confirm approval first. Check with the administrator or follow the organization’s approved configuration before connecting a managed account to another app.
