The round and roadmap were reported by The Economic Times on October 7, 2026; the company has not announced the financing in the sources available here, and the systems are plans rather than delivered products.
What the reported $10 million round is meant to fund
The Economic Times reported that Bengaluru-based Quanfluence raised $10 million in a round led by Chiratae Ventures. Rainmatter by Zerodha and existing investor pi Ventures also participated. The report says the capital is intended to support development and launch of a four-qubit quantum computer, as well as longer-term hardware development. These financing details are attributed to the outlet rather than a company or investor announcement. The Economic Times report
The reported milestones are not evidence that either system has shipped or is operating. The four-qubit machine is described as a near-term plan; the larger system is a future target attributed by the outlet to co-founder and CEO Sujoy Chakravarty.
What Quanfluence is building
A full-stack photonic quantum-computing platform
Quanfluence describes its approach as a scalable, continuous-variable photonic quantum computer. Its stated full-stack scope combines hardware, control systems and software. Photonic quantum computing uses light-based systems; “full-stack” here refers to the company’s effort to develop the connected components rather than hardware alone. These are company descriptions, not independently verified performance claims. Quanfluence

Optimization products and custom modules
The company separately describes OPTIQON as a hardware-accelerated optimization platform for large combinatorial problems. It also lists application-specific modules, including a high-speed balanced detector, single-photon detectors and a quantum random number generator. These offerings are distinct from a completed general-purpose quantum computer: the company presents optimization and modules as nearer-term work while developing its broader computing platform. Quanfluence
A March 2026 announcement by SuperQ Quantum described an MOU to explore integrating Quanfluence’s quantum random number generator and quantum computing with SuperQ’s platform, alongside joint commercialization. An MOU to explore a collaboration does not establish that integration or commercial deployment has been completed. SuperQ Quantum announcement

How to read the qubit roadmap
| Milestone | Status and attribution |
|---|---|
| Four-qubit quantum computer | Near-term plan reported by The Economic Times on October 7, 2026, with the roadmap attributed to CEO Sujoy Chakravarty; not a reported delivery. |
| Around 100-qubit prototype by 2029 | Future target attributed by The Economic Times to Chakravarty; not a demonstrated prototype. |
| General-purpose, fault-tolerant quantum computer | Quanfluence’s stated longer-term vision, not a current product or dated delivery commitment. Quanfluence About |
These milestones describe a development ambition, not a measure of practical capability. A qubit count alone does not establish how accurately a machine operates, which problems it can solve, or whether it offers an advantage over conventional systems. The sources cited here do not provide comparative benchmarks against other quantum-computing approaches.
How the funding fits Quanfluence’s earlier financing
In December 2024, Quanfluence announced a $2 million seed round led by pi Ventures, with Golden Sparrow and Reena Dayal participating. The company said that funding would help scale near-term products and accelerate quantum-computer development. The 2026 report identifies pi Ventures as an existing investor in the reported $10 million round. Quanfluence’s December 2024 announcement

What the SuperQ partnership announcement establishes
The March 25, 2026 SuperQ release framed the MOU as an exploration of integration and joint commercialization, not a completed product launch. In that announcement, Chakravarty described the company’s near-term emphasis on optimization using photonic Ising machines while it scales toward universal quantum computing: “At Quanfluence, we are building a full-stack photonic quantum computing platform, spanning hardware, control systems, and cloud-accessible optimization layers. Our near-term focus is on delivering real-world optimization capabilities using our photonic Ising machines, enabling enterprises to access quantum advantage today while we continue scaling toward universal quantum computing,” SuperQ Quantum announcement
The statement expresses the company’s position; it is not independent evidence that its optimization products have achieved quantum advantage. The announcement supports a distinction between near-term optimization work and the longer-term goal of universal quantum computing, but does not verify results or completed deployment.
