The startup behind the title cannot be confirmed from the available sources. Robeauté is a plausible match: the medtech company says it is developing microrobots to diagnose, treat, and monitor brain conditions. Secondary reporting describes AI as helping plan and guide a surgeon-directed robot—not as replacing the surgeon. The reported human-trial date was a company plan, not evidence that trials began.
What are the microrobots supposed to do?
Robeauté describes its microrobots as devices intended to travel through the brain to diagnose, treat, and monitor neuropathologies. The company announced a $28 million funding round in January 2025 and said the money would support continued development, a planned start to human trials in 2026, and the establishment of US operations ahead of FDA approval and market entry. Those were company plans announced at that time; they do not establish that trials have begun or that the device has regulatory approval. Robeauté’s announcement.
The title’s exact connection to Robeauté is not confirmed. It is best understood as a possible example of the idea, rather than a verified identification of the startup named in the original title.
How would AI fit into the procedure?
A secondary feature reports that Robeauté’s microrobot is 1.8 millimeters in diameter and is designed to move through brain tissue along curved, pre-planned 3D paths. The account says a thin tether supplies power, enables tracking, and allows retrieval. It describes AI as supporting trajectory planning and real-time guidance, with the surgeon directing the robot’s actions. These are details reported by that feature, not independently validated clinical capabilities. Infinite Loop Media’s feature.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That distinction matters: AI-assisted planning or guidance does not mean a robot autonomously decides where to go or what treatment to perform. In the account above, the clinician remains in control.
How does this compare with other microrobot projects?
Other projects also use the term microrobot, but their designs and goals differ. They should not be treated as the same device or as evidence of Robeauté’s capabilities.

Secondary reporting describes tethered, surgeon-directed movement with AI-assisted planning and guidance. | The company’s January 2025 announcement reported $28 million in funding and plans for development, US operations, and human trials in 2026; it does not confirm that those later steps occurred. | NeuroBot | An untethered, minimally invasive microrobotic platform aimed at reaching and performing procedures within deep-brain tumors. | Georgia Tech research news described the project in September 2026. The sources support different levels of detail for each project, so the table is not a performance comparison. To assess a microrobot claim, look for its intended anatomy and task, steering and propulsion method, whether it is tethered, who controls it, how it is powered and tracked, whether it can be retrieved, and what clinical or regulatory stage is actually documented.

For Robeauté, the January 2025 announcement stated a plan to begin human trials in 2026 and to pursue FDA approval before market entry. A stated target date is not confirmation that a trial started, and a plan to seek approval is not approval. The cited sources do not establish a later trial or regulatory status.
