This is the announced collection lineup, not a claim that it includes every Psikyo game. Edia’s announcement describes the gallery as part of a library-like experience beyond the games.
Collection or individual releases: the practical differences
| What matters to you | Psikyo Memories | Individual releases |
|---|---|---|
| How many games you want | One purchase includes the 12 announced games. | Lets you select from separately listed games; compare your desired titles and current local prices. |
| Games already owned | May duplicate games you already have; no cross-version entitlement or automatic upgrade is established. | Can avoid rebuying titles you do not want, subject to the platform and store listing. |
| Platform | Announced for Switch 2 and PS5. | City Connection’s catalog includes examples for Switch and PS4; that does not establish availability on every platform. |
| Extras | Includes a historical-materials gallery. A Japanese special edition adds an illustrated booklet, tabletop calendar, and 12 dog tags. | The cited catalog listings do not establish comparable collection extras. |

When the collection makes more sense
- You want several games from the announced 12-title lineup and prefer to buy them together.
- You are interested in the gallery as well as playing the games.
- You want the Japanese special edition’s physical items and can confirm a legitimate way to order it in your region.
When buying individual games may make more sense
- You only want one or a few titles, making it worth comparing individual prices instead of paying for games you will not play.
- You already own some of the collection’s games and want to avoid duplicates.
- The specific game you want is listed for a platform you already use, while the collection is announced for a different platform.
City Connection’s official catalogs show examples of individual digital releases. The Switch catalog lists Strikers 1945 III, Samurai Aces III: Sengoku Cannon, Gunbird 2, Dragon Blaze, Tengai, Sol Divide, and Samurai Aces. Its PS4 catalog results include Gunbird 2, Gunbarich, Gunbird, Samurai Aces, Samurai Aces III: Sengoku Cannon, Strikers 1945 III, and Zero Gunner 2-. These are examples, not a complete platform inventory or proof that a title is currently offered in your country. Check the exact store listing before purchase: a Switch or PS4 copy is not established as an upgrade or entitlement for Switch 2 or PS5.

Reservations were announced as opening October 5, 2026. A Gematsu report says the Japanese physical editions include standard and special versions and reports that the Switch 2 edition will use a game-key card; treat that format detail as secondary reporting and specific to the reported Japanese edition, not as a rule for other regions. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to verify before you buy
- Match the title. Check whether the exact game you want is in the 12-game lineup or appears as an individual listing. The catalogs include titles such as Strikers 1945 III, which is not among the 12 announced collection games.
- Check your platform and edition. The collection is announced for Switch 2 and PS5; the cited individual catalog examples are for Switch and PS4. Do not assume cross-generation compatibility, an upgrade, or shared ownership unless the specific product listing says so.
- Compare local offers. The announced prices are Japanese yen prices. Worldwide release timing, regional pricing, physical distribution, and current storefront availability are not established here.
- Check language details. The announcement does not establish supported languages or how Japanese versions compare with English releases.
- Choose extras for what they are, not what you hope they are. The gallery is confirmed, but specific archival documents and additional features are not. The special edition’s listed physical items are confirmed for the Japanese announcement.
Neither the announcement nor the cited catalogs compare performance, input latency, emulation, display options, or save features. There is not enough evidence here to call the collection or an individual version technically better.
