A reported $110 discount on the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo was real—but the evidence dates to July 29, 2026, not Prime Day. Mashable, in a deal report republished by Yahoo Tech, said Amazon had the combo for $989 against a stated $1,099 list price. That dated report does not establish that the offer is live on October 7, 2026, or that it was a Prime Day deal.
What the $110 price claim is based on
The specific claim traces to a July 29, 2026 report by Mashable, republished by Yahoo Tech. It listed the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo at Amazon for $989, compared with a stated $1,099 list price—a $110 difference. Mashable described it as the lowest price it had seen at Amazon at the time. Read the July 29 Yahoo Tech report.
This is a dated Amazon price observation, not proof of a current offer or an all-retailer, all-time record. The available evidence does not verify that the price was available during an October Prime event. Treat “best-ever” as the deal publisher’s description of its Amazon price observation on July 29, rather than a current market-wide price-history finding.
Which DJI Mini 5 Pro is in the deal?
The reported $989 offer was for the Fly More Combo, not simply the base drone. DJI’s official store lists several Mini 5 Pro Fly More configurations, including versions with the DJI RC-N3 or DJI RC 2 controller. The cited official product page is for Singapore; it can help identify product features and configuration differences, but its regional pricing should not be treated as US pricing. See DJI’s official Mini 5 Pro product listing.

The July report establishes the bundle name, but does not provide enough detail to treat every similarly named listing as an identical package.
What DJI says the drone offers
DJI’s product listing describes the Mini 5 Pro as having a 1-inch CMOS camera, true vertical shooting, 225-degree gimbal rotation and ActiveTrack 360. DJI calls its obstacle-sensing feature “Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing.” These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent test findings. DJI Mini 5 Pro product page.

No. The cited price report is from July, and the event-date coverage available for October is inconsistent: one Tom’s Guide result places Prime Big Deal Days on October 6–7, while another says the event ended October 5. That conflict does not support a definitive event date or a link between this July price and an October promotion. The reported $989 price may be useful as a dated reference point, but it is not confirmation of an October deal.
