Open Xbox’s Most played games page, or go to the Microsoft Store’s Games on Xbox page.

Check that the page is showing Most played games or the Most Played chart. The Store listing presents games in rank order.

On the Microsoft Store page, use its filters to narrow the catalog by Xbox availability, price or free status, Game Pass, category, capabilities, number of players, or ESRB rating.

The chart is a public discovery list, not a report of your own account activity. Its inspected page does not explain the ranking formula, measurement period, audience sample, or whether rank reflects concurrent players, unique players, or another signal. Treat it as an ordered popularity chart—not as exact live player counts, sales figures, or lifetime hours played.
The catalog can change, and the Xbox chart and Store view may show different item totals. Use the live pages for current rankings rather than relying on a fixed count or a list of leaders copied elsewhere.

See which games you played most
For your personal history, check the current Xbox Year in Review page when that year’s recap is offered and sign in with your Xbox account. The recap is distinct from the public Most Played chart, and availability may be limited by market and by a set annual window.
For context, Xbox’s 2024 Year in Review included total time played and the account’s top three most-played games. That recap ended January 31, 2025, so it should not be treated as an ongoing way to view your history. Check the current recap page for the year’s availability and details.

Other option for PC: the Xbox app’s Trending collection
Xbox Wire described a Trending collection in the Xbox app on PC as showing the top 10 games members in the user’s region were playing, with frequent updates. The March 15, 2023 announcement described its initial release to Xbox Insiders; it does not establish that the collection is available to every user today. Check the current Xbox PC app for the collection rather than assuming it appears in a particular menu.
