Choose the OnePlus 15 if a large stated battery, fast charging and a gaming-focused 165 Hz display are your priorities. Choose a Galaxy S26 if you want to select among three sizes—or need the Ultra’s S Pen. The Galaxy S26 family includes the 6.3-inch S26, 6.7-inch S26+ and 6.9-inch S26 Ultra, so the right comparison depends on which Samsung model you mean. Official specifications alone do not establish which phone lasts longer, takes better photos or offers better current value.
Which Galaxy S26 is the right comparison?
“Samsung Galaxy S series” is not a single phone. Samsung’s current S26 family consists of the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. Samsung Ireland lists their displays at 6.3, 6.7 and 6.9 inches, respectively, and lists S Pen support for the Ultra. Samsung said worldwide availability began March 11, 2026; specifications and availability can vary by model and region. Samsung’s model comparison and launch announcement provide the family details.
- Galaxy S26: the smallest option in the family, at 6.3 inches.
- Galaxy S26+: the middle size, at 6.7 inches.
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: the largest, at 6.9 inches, with S Pen support.
The OnePlus 15 has a 6.78-inch display, placing its screen size between the S26+ and Ultra figures. That makes the S26+ the closest size match on paper, though screen size alone does not determine how a phone feels in hand.

Choose by size, display and intended use
Pick the OnePlus 15 for its stated gaming refresh rate
OnePlus lists a maximum 165 Hz refresh rate for gaming. That is a specific advantage to consider if compatible games and smooth motion matter to you. Samsung’s Ireland comparison lists 120 Hz displays for the S26 family. Refresh rate is only one part of display performance, however; these figures do not prove which screen looks better overall.
Pick a Galaxy S26 model to control the size
The 6.3-inch S26 is the clear choice among these options if you prefer a smaller display. The S26+ at 6.7 inches is closest to the OnePlus 15’s 6.78-inch screen by diagonal measurement. The 6.9-inch Ultra is the largest and adds S Pen support. Consider the specific model rather than treating “Galaxy S26” as one size or feature set.
Battery and charging: compare capabilities, not promised runtime
OnePlus states a typical 7,300 mAh battery capacity for the OnePlus 15. Its US specifications page lists 80 W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50 W AIRVOOC wireless charging. Those figures describe rated capacity and supported charging standards; they do not establish how long the phone lasts in ordinary use or how quickly it charges in a particular situation.

OnePlus’s launch page describes a separately available adapter that can support charging up to 100 W. Do not assume that adapter is included with the phone, or that the listed maximum applies in every region or setup. Check the OnePlus US product page and the listing for the exact regional model and accessory before buying.
The Samsung comparison cited here does not provide comparable battery or charging figures for the three S26 models. Without like-for-like independent testing, a larger stated capacity or higher charging wattage cannot settle which phone lasts longer or charges faster in real use.
Camera: the listed megapixels do not name a winner
OnePlus lists three 50 MP rear cameras, including a 3.5x optical telephoto. Samsung describes camera and family features, but the cited comparison does not provide a complete specification table that can be matched directly against the OnePlus setup. Megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality.

For a camera decision, compare the exact models and focal lengths, supported video modes and independent photo and video samples. No independent comparative camera test is established by the specifications cited here, so there is no supported basis to declare a camera winner.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Software, performance and long-term support
OnePlus lists OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Samsung markets Galaxy AI features across the S26 family, and its launch announcement identifies a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor for the S26 Ultra. These manufacturer descriptions do not establish a real-world performance ranking, and the processor detail cited for the Ultra should not be generalized to every S26 model or region.

Price and value depend on live, like-for-like listings
OnePlus’s US product page lists the 12 GB/256 GB OnePlus 15 at $899.99 and the 16 GB/512 GB configuration at $999.99. These are page-listed prices, not a guarantee of the current checkout price; offers, stock and prices can change. See the OnePlus US listing for current details.
Comparable current US prices for each Galaxy S26 model were not established by the cited sources. A fair value comparison needs live prices for the same market and, as closely as possible, the same storage capacity. Compare the specific Galaxy model you would actually buy, then account for any current offer rather than treating the whole S26 family as one price tier.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the OnePlus 15 if its stated 7,300 mAh battery, 80 W wired and 50 W wireless charging support, or up-to-165 Hz gaming refresh rate best fits your priorities—and its live price and regional availability work for you.
- Choose the Galaxy S26 if a 6.3-inch display is your priority.
- Choose the Galaxy S26+ if you want a 6.7-inch screen close in size to the OnePlus 15’s 6.78-inch display.
- Choose the Galaxy S26 Ultra if you want the largest 6.9-inch screen or S Pen support.
For camera quality, actual battery endurance, long-term software support or the best current value, the available specifications do not justify a universal winner. Make those choices using model-specific independent tests, current support commitments and live prices for your region.
