Fix Steam launch error 1138:100134
NCSOFT AION 2 Global Support’s guidance for the specific error “1138:100134” is to run Steam as administrator, then try launching the game again. The support page, dated September 23, 2026, notes that the error can have multiple causes, so administrator mode is a first step for this code—not a guaranteed fix for every launch failure. - Close Steam if it is open.
- Right-click the Steam shortcut and choose Run as administrator. Approve the Windows prompt if one appears.
- Try launching AION 2 again.
- If error 1138:100134 remains, submit a customer-service request to NCSOFT and include the exact code.
Restore a missing character after changing the Steam link
If Steam launches AION 2 but your character is missing after unlinking Steam and linking a different account, return to the original NC Account. NCSOFT AION 2 Global Support states that character and game data are associated with the NC Account in use when the character was created; linking Steam to another NC Account does not transfer that data. The FAQ, dated October 1, 2026, directs players to follow the recovery instructions that match how they first accessed the game. Read the account-link support FAQ.
Do not keep switching links in the hope that the character will move to the newly linked account. Identify the NC Account used at character creation and follow the relevant official account-link instructions. If you cannot access that account or are unsure which access path you originally used, contact support.

Resolve an NC/PLAYNC account conflict
NC and PLAYNC are separate account types. According to NCSOFT AION 2 Global Support’s “Account Conflict Solutions” FAQ, using the same email address for both can create a conflict that blocks sign-in. Open the official account-conflict guidance.
- Use the official conflict-check page linked from the FAQ to check whether your accounts conflict.
- If the flow prompts you to change the email registered to the NC Account, follow its instructions. You will need the NC Account password to make that change.
- If you cannot complete the check or do not have the required password, contact NCSOFT support for help with account access.
Check whether maintenance is blocking login
Scheduled maintenance can make AION 2 login unavailable. Official Steam announcements have reported maintenance and later confirmed servers were back online; those notices describe specific past maintenance periods, not the servers’ current status. Check the current AION 2 announcements on Steam for a notice that applies to today. If login is unavailable during announced maintenance, wait for the posted maintenance period or restoration notice before troubleshooting your account.

What to do about other connection or crash problems
The official support material cited here does not establish a general fix for lag, packet loss, disconnects, unexplained crashes, or other errors. It also does not validate VPNs, DNS changes, router adjustments, firewall exceptions, or reinstalling as remedies for these symptoms. Avoid treating those steps as official AION 2 fixes.
If your issue is not one of the documented cases above, contact official customer support. Include the exact error message or code, your platform, the NC Account and Steam-link path involved, and when the problem occurs—for example, at launch, during sign-in, or after entering the game. That information helps support distinguish an account issue from an unsupported connection or crash symptom.

NCSOFT’s official AION 2 Global teaser site lists October 5, 2026 as the launch date. That date is context only; it does not indicate whether the game is online now. Check current official announcements for service availability.
