To register a qualifying RIDGID tool for the U.S. Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA), sign in to a RIDGID account, open Product Registration, choose the correct product category, enter the requested model and serial information, upload your purchase receipt, and submit the form within 90 days of purchase. Registration is not complete until RIDGID processes and approves it, so keep the confirmation and Customer ID. The steps below reflect RIDGID’s U.S. terms and pages checked October 7, 2026; eligibility and the exact service route depend on the product and account.
Before registering, confirm that your tool qualifies
Not every product bearing the RIDGID name is automatically covered. RIDGID’s detailed U.S. terms identify eligible hand-held power tools, select stationary tools, batteries, pneumatic tools, compressors, and outdoor power equipment, subject to product-specific conditions. Check your exact model and category in RIDGID’s Lifetime Service Agreement terms and registration flow before assuming it qualifies.
RIDGID states that qualifying tools must be registered within 90 days of purchase. If that period has passed, do not assume a late submission will secure LSA enrollment; contact RIDGID to ask what coverage, if any, remains.
What to have ready
- Your purchase receipt. RIDGID’s current LSA page requests a receipt upload for verification.
- The complete model and serial numbers. The detailed terms call for identifying information for each qualifying serialized tool and, where applicable, batteries and chargers.
- A RIDGID account, or an email address and details needed to create one.
Register online
- Open RIDGID’s Lifetime Service Agreement page or the RIDGID Product Registration page.
- Sign in or create an account.
- Choose Product Registration, select the product category that matches your tool, and choose Register New Product if that option appears.
- Enter the model and serial information requested for the tool and any eligible serialized components.
- Upload a copy of the receipt and submit the registration.
- Save the submission confirmation. Allow RIDGID to process the submission, then verify that it confirms LSA status and provides a Customer ID.
Choose the product family carefully: RIDGID’s general registration page notes that professional trade tools—including cameras, pressing tools, drain cleaners, and wet/dry vacs—use a different account path from professional power tools.

If you cannot register online
RIDGID’s detailed terms describe a mail-in option. They instruct customers to provide the requested personal and product details in a letter, then mail the online confirmation printout or handwritten letter, the original receipt, and the original UPC from the qualifying product package to:

The terms recommend keeping a photocopy of the receipt. Because the route involves original documents and mailing instructions can change, confirm the current address and requirements with RIDGID before sending anything. RIDGID says handwritten registrations may take longer to process.
After you submit
RIDGID’s detailed terms say that, after a completed registration is approved, confirmation by email or U.S. mail is expected in approximately seven days. The confirmation includes a Customer ID and verifies LSA status. Keep both the confirmation and ID; RIDGID says the ID is needed to obtain service under the agreement.

If RIDGID replaces a serialized item that already has LSA status, the detailed terms give the customer 90 days to contact RIDGID or use its replacement-registration route to register the replacement item.
What the Lifetime Service Agreement covers—and excludes
RIDGID describes the LSA as free coverage for eligible products once its registration conditions are met. The detailed terms describe coverage for worn parts in properly maintained tools. Listed examples include brushes, chucks, motors, switches, gears, and qualifying cordless batteries; for pneumatic tools, the terms list replacement rings, driver blades, and bumpers.

The LSA is a service agreement, not an unrestricted lifetime warranty, and RIDGID distinguishes it from the three-year limited warranty. It is limited to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred. The terms exclude damage or failure associated with misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration or modification, unauthorized repair, external damage, and failure to follow the operator’s manual. Consumable accessories—including blades, bits, grinding and cutting discs, sandpaper, safety glasses, fasteners, and track saw tracks—are also excluded. RIDGID’s published directions describe different service routes. Its detailed terms say to take the equipment to an authorized RIDGID service center and present the LSA identification number and proper personal identification. Its newer LSA page describes filing a claim through the account: sign in, select My Tools, file a claim, and follow the directions for the prepaid shipping label and repair or replacement.
