That means there are no verified PS4-specific RPCS3 settings or performance fixes to recommend.
Can you run RPCS3 on PS4?
RPCS3’s official Compatibility List covers tested PS3 games and PS3 apps. It does not establish that RPCS3 runs on a PlayStation 4. The compatibility page therefore cannot be used as evidence of PS4 support, and this article does not recommend a PS4 configuration or promise performance improvements for that setup.
If your goal is to play PS3 games through RPCS3, consult the project’s official Quickstart guide and check the compatibility entry for the specific game. The compatibility page says its list changes frequently, so check again when making a decision rather than relying on an old status or a blanket claim that RPCS3 is “compatible.”
How to check whether a PS3 game works in RPCS3
-
Open the official RPCS3 Compatibility List.
-
Find the entry for the game you want to play. Compatibility is assessed by individual game entries, and the page may include separate IDs.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesSpecial offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.#1 Best Overall

-
Read the status definition, not just the label. “Playable” means a game can be completed with playable performance and without game-breaking glitches. “Ingame” can indicate that a game cannot be finished, has serious glitches, or does not perform adequately.
-
Recheck the entry close to the time you plan to play. The project describes the list as frequently changing, so a status can change.

What the compatibility labels do—and do not—tell you
A status describes the project’s reported experience with a particular PS3 game in RPCS3; it is not a promise that every configuration will have the same result. In particular, the label does not establish performance on a PS4. The official compatibility page’s “Playable” definition is about completion, playable performance, and the absence of game-breaking glitches; “Ingame” covers cases that may be unfinished, seriously affected by glitches, or insufficiently performant.
Because the list is live and changes over time, avoid treating a percentage or total count from a particular visit as a permanent measure of compatibility. For a useful answer, check the current entry for the title you care about.

Use legitimate game copies
The RPCS3 project states, “We do not condone piracy of any kind.” It recommends using legitimate game copies, including PlayStation Store purchases or discs, with the project’s Quickstart instructions. Consult the official guide for the applicable process; the compatibility list alone is not an installation guide.
