Start with fit: wear the Galaxy Buds4 Pro comfortably and run Samsung’s earbud fit test until it reports “Good fit.” Then choose noise control for your surroundings, adjust the equalizer only if you want to change the sound, and try optional features such as 360 Audio or UHQ audio if your device and apps support them.
1. Check the fit before tuning sound
A secure, comfortable fit is the best first setting check because it gives you a more useful starting point for listening and noise control. In Galaxy Buds settings, run the fit test and adjust the earbuds until the result says “Good fit.” Samsung’s Galaxy Buds4 Pro setup guide, published March 10, 2026, describes a brief sound feedback when the fit is detected.
The test is a personal fit check, not a clinical measurement, and it does not guarantee the same noise-cancellation experience for every listener.
2. Choose noise control for your surroundings
Next, select the noise-control mode that matches where you are and how much awareness you want. The Buds4 Pro includes adaptive Active Noise Cancellation and ambient/noise-control features; Samsung says its adaptive sound features respond to wearing conditions and ear shape. That does not make one mode universally best.

- For quieter listening: choose a noise-control option that reduces surrounding sound to the level you prefer.
- When awareness matters: use an option that lets you hear more of your surroundings, especially when you need to stay attentive to what is happening around you.
- For changing conditions: try the adaptive option and decide whether its adjustments suit you.

3. Adjust the equalizer to taste
If the default playback does not sound right to you, use the equalizer to tailor it. Samsung’s setup guide places EQ under “Sound quality and effects” and describes a 9-band equalizer. Make small changes while listening to familiar content, then keep the settings that you prefer. Samsung does not identify a universally best EQ curve or preset.

4. Try 360 Audio if you want spatial sound
360 Audio is an optional sound-quality feature, not a required setup step. Try it when you want a spatial presentation and compare it with your usual listening. Samsung lists it among the sound quality and effects options in its setup guide; the result you prefer depends on the content and your taste.
5. Enable UHQ only if your setup supports it
Samsung lists Ultra high quality (UHQ) audio among advanced quality options. Its setup-video description states support for 24-bit/96 kHz with eligible Galaxy devices. Samsung’s February 25, 2026 product announcement also qualifies 24-bit Hi-Fi support: availability depends on Galaxy-device software and may vary by application. Treat this as a compatibility-dependent capability, not a guarantee for every phone or app.

Super wide band speech is another advanced quality option identified in Samsung’s setup guide. Consider it only if you want to explore that call-quality setting; it is not necessary for ordinary listening.

Being able to connect the earbuds for Bluetooth audio is different from being able to configure every feature in Galaxy Wearable. Samsung says advanced Galaxy Wearable configuration requires Android 12.0 or later and at least 1.5 GB of memory. Its product page says Bluetooth audio connection is available irrespective of operating system.

If a setting is absent, first confirm that the phone meets those requirements and that you are viewing the Buds4 Pro settings in Galaxy Wearable. Menu labels and available options can vary by software version and region.
