1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFix Galaxy Buds4 Pro problems by starting with the symptom: reconnect the buds for pairing failures, check fit and sound settings for audio problems, and inspect the case and charging contacts when they will not charge. Restarting, cleaning and drying contacts, checking for updates, and pairing again resolve many common issues; a persistent fault may need Samsung service.
Before troubleshooting: check the basics
- Charge the case and earbuds, and make sure both earbuds are seated in the correct slots.
- Check that the buds fit securely and that the speaker openings, microphones, and charging contacts are free of debris and moisture.
- Keep the connected device nearby, with a clear path to the earbuds. Walls, Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, and other electrical equipment can interfere with Bluetooth.
- Restart the connected phone, tablet, computer, or TV. Check for updates to the device software and Galaxy Wearable app, as well as available earbud software updates.
Fix connection or pairing problems
- Reduce interference. Move away from routers, microwaves, and other likely sources of interference. Keep the earbuds near the device and remove obstacles where possible.
- Reseat and restart the earbuds. Put both buds in their case, make sure they are seated properly, close the lid, and wait for the case light to go out. Open the case and try connecting again.
- Charge and check the contacts. If the buds may be low on battery, charge them for at least 30 minutes. Check that the charging contacts are clean and dry.
- Restart and update the connected device. Restart the phone, tablet, computer, or TV, then check for device, Galaxy Wearable app, and earbud software updates.
- Pair again. Remove or unpair Galaxy Buds4 Pro in the device’s Bluetooth settings, then connect them again through Galaxy Wearable or the device’s Bluetooth pairing flow.
Samsung US Support says that “Performing a restart on the earbuds, resetting the Bluetooth connection, or updating the Galaxy Wearable app will normally fix the issue” in its Galaxy Buds connection troubleshooting guide. This is general Galaxy Buds guidance, not a guarantee specific to Buds4 Pro. If the buds still will not connect after these checks, contact Samsung support or arrange service.
Fix no sound, weak sound, or audio dropouts
- Check range and interference. Keep the buds within Bluetooth range and avoid walls, routers, and nearby electrical equipment that may interrupt the signal.
- Check volume and sound settings. Turn up the connected device’s media volume and check for separate earbud volume controls or a media-volume limit. Make sure the phone or app is not applying a setting that reduces or changes output.
- Check battery and openings. Confirm the buds have charge. Inspect the speaker openings and microphones for debris or damage; clean them carefully if needed.
- Check fit. A loose fit or unsuitable ear tips can affect what you hear. Reseat the earbuds and try the appropriate tip size.
- Restart and update. Restart the connected device and earbuds, then install available software updates. If sound remains absent or very low, seek Samsung support or service.
Samsung’s connection troubleshooting guide also recommends checking the connection and restarting or updating the earbuds when connection-related audio symptoms persist.
Fix one quiet or silent earbud
First check whether the affected bud is seated correctly in your ear, has a secure fit, and has a clear speaker mesh. Try matching or appropriate ear-tip sizes on both sides. Then check the connected phone’s left/right sound balance. On many Galaxy phones, look under Settings > Accessibility > Hearing enhancements; labels and menu locations can vary by device and software version.

Recouple Galaxy Buds4 Pro
Samsung India’s guidance, updated April 24, 2026, specifically identifies Galaxy Buds4 Pro model SM-R640 and gives these recoupling steps:
- Place both earbuds in their correct slots in the case and open the case.
- Hold the connect button on the back of the case for seven seconds.
- If the indicator flashes red, reseat the earbuds and repeat the process.
If recoupling does not work, check for software updates; Samsung notes that software versions can affect the process. See Samsung India’s Buds4 Pro one-earbud troubleshooting steps. If the issue remains after checking fit, balance, debris, and recoupling, contact Samsung support.

Fix charging problems
- Check seating and contacts. Use the Buds4 Pro case and place each earbud in its correct slot. Inspect the earbud and case contacts for debris or liquid; clean and dry them before charging.
- Try wired charging. Connect the case to power with an appropriate USB-C cable and approved charging adapter. Samsung notes that charging from a computer may be slower. If the case or buds are fully depleted, give them time to respond.
- Check the charging indicator and accessories. If the indicator behaves abnormally, disconnect and reconnect the power. Inspect the cable, wall adapter, and case for damage, and try known-good compatible accessories.
- Try wireless charging if available. The Buds4 Pro case supports wireless charging. Place it on a compatible wireless pad and check whether charging begins.
- Escalate a persistent fault. If the case and earbuds still do not charge properly after these checks, contact Samsung support or seek service. An accessory cannot repair a defective case or earbud.
The US product package includes the earbuds, three silicone ear-tip sizes (S/M/L), charging case, and Quick Start Guide; it does not include a charger or USB Type-C cable. Samsung also says the wireless charging pad is sold separately. See the Buds4 Pro product and manual information and Samsung’s charging guidance. Use approved charging accessories.
