Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesStart with the settings that affect access and privacy, then tailor the Razr Ultra’s cover screen, Power button, and gestures to your routine. These paths follow Motorola’s documentation for the 2025 Razr Ultra; labels and availability can vary by software version, region, or carrier.
1. Set a screen lock
A screen lock protects access when the phone turns on or wakes. On the Razr Ultra, go to Settings > Security and privacy > Device unlock > Screen lock, then choose a pattern, PIN, or password. Motorola’s screen lock instructions describe these options. You can also configure fingerprint unlock after setting a screen lock.
2. Review what appears on the external display
The cover screen has its own lock screen and home screen settings. Go to Settings > External display, then choose Lock screen or Home screen. Depending on the screen, you can adjust wallpaper, font, accent color, app shortcuts, and whether the lock-screen image is blurred for privacy. Check both the information and shortcuts visible while the phone is closed. Motorola’s external display guidance covers these controls.
Choose how the display wakes
Motorola also documents Sleep display options for waking the external screen by tapping, lifting, or moving the phone, as well as an option to disable Sleep display. Choose based on whether you value quick glances or prefer fewer unintended wake-ups; there is no universally best choice.

3. Decide what the Power button should do
Motorola provides separate settings for double-pressing Power, pressing and holding it, and sliding on it. Double press can open the camera or do nothing. Press and hold can open a digital assistant, Moto AI, the Power menu, or take no action. Sliding can control quick settings and notifications or zoom in Maps. The available choices and instructions are in Motorola’s Power button guide.
Before assigning press-and-hold to something else, note how to reach the Power menu: Motorola says to press Power and Volume up together when another action is assigned to press and hold.

4. Review Quick capture and other gestures
Quick capture
Quick capture opens the camera when you twist the phone twice, including from the lock screen. If a screen lock is set, Motorola says this gesture provides access only to the Camera app; unlock the phone to view existing photos or use other features. Turn it off at Settings > Gestures or Moto > Actions if you do not want the shortcut. See Motorola’s gesture instructions.
Other controls worth checking
These settings are personal preferences rather than required changes. Review them if they would make your usual interactions easier:

5. Locate battery settings without assuming a best configuration
Motorola’s Razr Ultra help index lists help topics for extending battery life, preventing overcharging, and using Battery saver. The listed material does not establish a specific recommended configuration, precise menu path, or quantified improvement. Start in the phone’s Battery settings or consult Motorola Help for the current instructions on your software version; avoid treating any particular option as a guaranteed battery-life fix.
