Yes. Nintendo lists Hello, Peach! and Hello, Luigi! as free digital applications for Nintendo Switch. Is Hello, Peach! free? Is Hello, Luigi! free?
Yes. Nintendo of Canada lists both apps as free digital software. The two apps share the same basic play format; the main difference is which character appears.

What do the apps do?
Each app is a simple touch-based experience: children can poke, pull, stretch and spin Peach’s or Luigi’s face, then use an on-screen ? Block menu to add items such as a Super Mushroom, Super Star, pipes or enemies. Peekaboo is another activity, and Boo may appear as a guest. These are standalone app features; the optional My Mario blocks are not needed for this play.

Both apps also include a sleep break after playing for a while. Nintendo does not state a fixed duration. To switch the feature off, use the gear icon when the application starts.
Can I play Hello, Peach! or Hello, Luigi! on Switch 2?
Yes. Nintendo lists both apps for Nintendo Switch and marks them as supported on Nintendo Switch 2, with game behavior consistent with Nintendo Switch. Nintendo also lists handheld mode for both.

For Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo cautions that software compatibility and play experience may differ, and that additional accessories may be required in some cases. That warning is not a declaration that either app is incompatible with Switch Lite.
Do I need a Nintendo Account?
The Nintendo Canada product listings confirm that the apps are free digital downloads, but they do not say whether a Nintendo Account must be created or linked to download or launch them. Free software does not, by itself, establish that no account is needed. The account flow may depend on the regional eShop, so check the listing or Nintendo support for your region before downloading.

The listings do not advertise a Nintendo Switch Online subscription as a requirement.
Can I play offline?
Yes, after downloading. Nintendo says, “There’s no need to be connected to the internet to play this application,” on each app’s product page. An internet connection may still be needed for the initial download or other eShop activity.

Do I need a My Mario block?
No. The apps work through touchscreen interaction, and Nintendo describes offline play without requiring a block. My Mario wooden character blocks are an optional extra: Nintendo says they work as amiibo figures, and tapping a block while using the app brings the character shown on it into the experience.
