A missing or surprising country in Google Search Console is not, by itself, proof that your traffic changed. Usually the cause is the report setup (wrong property, filter, date range or search type) or documented reporting behavior: grouped tables that do not sum to the chart, privacy omissions, truncated rows and preliminary recent data. Work through the checks below in order, from the cheapest to the most advanced.
What the Countries dimension actually shows
In the Search results Performance report, Google says “The country dimension groups data by the country where the search originated.” (Google Search Console Help: Dimensions and data groupings). It describes where the searcher was, not where your site is hosted, which language your pages use or which country you target. A page in English for a US audience can legitimately collect impressions from many other countries.
Troubleshooting sequence
1. Confirm the report and the property
Make sure you are looking at the Search results Performance report if your question concerns Google Search. Then check the selected property. Google states that data appears only for links that send a user to the current property; links to a different property are not shown, for privacy reasons. This matters when your content lives on another subdomain or under a different property type or URL prefix (Google Search Console Help: How are you performing on Google?). If a country seems absent, confirm the relevant URLs actually belong to the property you opened.
2. Check date range, search type and filters
Review every control above the chart:
- Date range: compare like-for-like periods. A country with traffic last quarter but none this week may simply fall outside your range.
- Search type: Web, Image, Video and News are separate views, so a country present in one can be absent in another.
- Filters: remove any query, page, device or country filter you did not intend to apply. Rows in the table can themselves set filters when clicked, which is an easy way to end up filtered without noticing.
These controls are described in Google’s overview and basic setup and advanced filtering and comparison pages.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Use Country comparison correctly
To compare countries, add a Country comparison and pick the two countries you care about. The selector lists only countries for which data exists, so a country that does not appear as an option has no data for the current property and settings. Comparisons are limited to two values within the chosen grouping dimension (Advanced filtering and comparison). If you need more than two countries side by side, read them from the Countries table or use the export described in step 6.
4. Don’t expect country rows to add up to the chart
The chart and the table can differ for documented reasons:

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Aggregation differs. Country data is aggregated by property, whereas page groupings are aggregated by page, so totals across views do not necessarily match.
- Privacy omissions. Google omits anonymized queries from tables to protect users, so adding a query or URL filter can change totals.
- Truncation. Only the most important table rows are stored and shown, so a small country may not appear as a row.
These are reporting behaviors, not evidence that tracking is broken for a given country. See the overview and dimensions pages. Google does not publish a figure for how often rows go missing, so treat any claimed percentage with suspicion.
5. Treat the newest data as provisional
Google notes: “The newest data can be preliminary, meaning it’s still being collected and might change in the next few hours.” (Overview and basic setup). Before diagnosing a country that vanished or appeared in the last day, re-check after collection completes.

6. Escalate to bulk export only when needed
For repeatable or large-scale analysis, Search Console’s bulk data export to BigQuery includes country, search type, device, impressions and clicks fields. Exports run once daily, though not necessarily at the same time for each table (Table guidelines and reference). It suits analysts who want to aggregate and retain detailed data themselves. It is not required for ordinary discrepancies, and it should not be expected to reveal rows that Google withholds for privacy.
