Prime Gaming is now a retired brand name: Amazon has moved Prime gaming benefits under Luna. To claim a downloadable PC game or in-game reward, start at Amazon Luna’s claims page, then follow the instructions on that specific offer. Some offers provide a code to redeem elsewhere; others require linking a game account or deliver the reward in-game.
What happened to Prime Gaming?
Amazon retired the Prime Gaming name in October 2025 and unified Prime gaming benefits under Amazon Luna. People may still search for a “Prime Gaming code,” but the current place Amazon directs members to claim downloadable PC games is luna.amazon.com/claims. The familiar phrase still describes some offers, not a separate current claims service. Amazon’s announcement about the change explains the brand transition.
How to claim a game or in-game reward
-
Sign in with the Amazon account that is eligible for the offer.

What a Prime Gaming code does—and what it does not
A code is one way an offer can deliver a game or content; it is not the standard format for every reward. Amazon’s guide has used VALORANT and League of Legends as examples of offers that prompt you to sign in to a game account. It has also described claimed games delivered through GOG, Epic Games Store, Legacy Games, and the Amazon Games app. Those are examples of offer-specific routes, not a promise that every current offer uses those services. Check the current offer for its redemption destination and any platform or game-version restrictions.

What you are claiming: Distinguish a downloadable PC game from an in-game item or a Luna cloud game.
-
Platform and version: Read any compatibility or game-version limits in the offer instructions.
Check regional availability and account eligibility
Luna’s regional availability is not uniform. Amazon lists some countries with cloud games, GameNight, and claimable games, and others where Prime members can claim games only. It also lists Prime Video countries with claimable games. Amazon says Prime membership must be from the country where the customer currently resides for the listed Luna regions. Because both offers and features vary by country, check your local Amazon or Luna page rather than assuming a particular game or feature is available to you. See Amazon’s Luna page for regional details.

Claiming a game is different from playing it on Luna
A downloadable PC game claim gives you a game through the delivery method in its offer instructions. Luna cloud gaming is a separate way to play supported titles on supported devices; using Luna to claim an offer does not mean that the claimed PC game is being streamed. Amazon’s Luna overview describes the service and its play options. Its September 21, 2026 explainer says more than 60 games are included with Prime; that figure refers to the Luna library described in that article, not to downloadable game codes or in-game reward offers, and may change.
For non-GameNight Luna games, Amazon says you need a controller or mouse and keyboard. GameNight can use a phone as the controller. The Amazon Luna Controller is one optional accessory; it is not required to claim a code or in-game reward.
