Yes. Zoom’s LTI Pro app connects Zoom with a learning management system (LMS), letting instructors manage meetings and learners join them from the LMS. Setup is an administrator task: Zoom must be configured in the Zoom account and registered in the LMS. The exact steps depend on the LMS and the LTI version it supports.
What Zoom LMS integration does
Zoom LTI Pro adds Zoom meeting functions to an LMS course. Instructors can schedule and manage meetings and access past meeting and recording information. Students can view and join upcoming meetings and access previous meetings and recordings. These functions depend on the integration being configured for the institution’s LMS.
Zoom’s setup instructions cover Blackboard, Canvas, Brightspace by D2L, Moodle, Sakai, and Schoology. Zoom also documents a third-party setup path for custom, open-source, or other LMS platforms that support the required LTI behavior. See Zoom’s LTI Pro configuration guides.
Who can set it up, and what is required?
An account owner, administrator, or appropriately privileged Zoom Marketplace user needs to authorize and configure the app. An LMS administrator must also register or configure the tool in the LMS and make it available in courses. Zoom’s installation documentation lists Education, Business, or Enterprise plans as eligible; ask your organization’s Zoom administrator to confirm its current entitlement before planning deployment. Start with Zoom’s instructions for adding the Zoom LTI Pro app.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
How the setup works
- Confirm the platform and LTI version. Ask the LMS administrator which LMS product and LTI version the institution will use, then select the matching Zoom platform-specific guide.
- Authorize Zoom LTI Pro. A qualified Zoom account user adds and authorizes the app in the Zoom Marketplace, then creates or selects the required LTI configuration and credentials.
- Register the tool in the LMS. The LMS administrator enters the configuration details required by that platform and version. The LMS and Zoom sides must use matching values.
- Make it available to courses. After registration, the administrator or instructor places the Zoom tool where course participants can launch it, such as course navigation or a module, depending on the LMS.
- Verify access in a course. Confirm the tool appears for instructors and students and that each role can use the intended meeting functions.
Those steps describe the general pattern, not a universal click-by-click recipe. For example, Zoom’s Canvas LTI 1.3 guide includes configuring approved domains, creating a Canvas Developer Key, providing its client ID in Zoom, installing the app in Canvas, and adding it to course navigation or a module. Other LMS products have different setup instructions.
Which setup path and LTI version apply?
| Setup option | What it means | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Documented LMS | Zoom publishes product-specific setup instructions for Blackboard, Canvas, Brightspace by D2L, Moodle, Sakai, and Schoology. | Use the guide for the institution’s actual LMS and supported LTI version. |
| Third-party or custom LMS | Use Zoom’s third-party configuration path for an LMS outside the named guides, provided it supports the necessary LTI behavior. | The LMS administrator may need to provide the site domain, client ID, issuer URL, public key URL, OIDC authentication URL, and access-token URL. See Zoom’s third-party LMS configuration guide. |
| LTI 1.1 or LTI 1.3 | Zoom lists instructions for both versions on multiple platforms. | Choose the version supported and selected by the institution. The available documentation does not establish one version as best for every LMS. |
Are extra features included automatically?
No. Optional course capabilities can have additional prerequisites beyond basic meeting integration. For example, using Zoom Whiteboard through LTI Pro requires LTI 1.3, account enablement, and LMS roster service configuration. Zoom also documents a limitation involving matching email addresses between the LMS and Zoom accounts. See Zoom’s Whiteboard and LTI Pro requirements. Check the requirements for any additional feature before assuming it is available through the basic integration.

What to do if your LMS is not listed
Ask both the Zoom account administrator and LMS administrator to confirm that the LMS supports the required LTI behavior and can provide its registration details and endpoints. Then follow Zoom’s third-party LMS setup instructions. Compatibility depends on the platform’s LTI support and the institution’s configuration; the fact that an LMS is not named in Zoom’s product-specific list does not, by itself, establish whether it will work.
