To stop future iOS beta offers on an iPhone running iOS 16.4 or later, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and select Off. This stops future beta updates; it does not remove a beta already installed.
Turn off beta updates in iOS 16.4 or later
- Open Settings.
- Tap General, then Software Update.
- Tap Beta Updates.
- Select Off.

Use the beta profile method on iOS 16.3.1 or earlier
- Open Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
- Tap the iOS Beta Software Profile, if it appears.
- Tap Remove Profile. Enter your device passcode if prompted, then confirm.
Apple says removing the profile stops the device from receiving public betas.
If Beta Updates is missing
The setting is available in iOS 16.4 and later. On iOS 16.3.1 or earlier, use the profile-removal steps instead. If the iPhone runs a newer version but the option does not appear, the cited Apple instructions do not establish another cause or workaround; check the installed iOS version under Settings > General > About before choosing a method.

Turning beta updates off does not remove an installed beta
Selecting Off controls future beta releases. If a beta is already installed, the iPhone remains on that software until it is updated or restored.
Wait for a public iOS update
With beta updates off, wait for a publicly released iOS version that is later than the beta installed on your iPhone, then install it through Settings > General > Software Update. If the phone says an update is available because the beta has expired, Apple advises installing the offered update from that screen.

Restore to remove the beta sooner
Apple says returning from an installed beta to the current public iOS requires erasing and restoring the iPhone. If you installed the beta using a computer, Apple likewise says you must restore the device to remove it. Restoring erases the device, so consider what backup you can use before proceeding.

A backup made while the iPhone is running beta software may not work with an earlier iOS version. Apple notes that an archived backup made on an earlier, compatible iOS version may be used after restoring. If you do not have a compatible backup, restoring may leave you unable to return your data from the beta-era backup.
