Nintendo’s official support instructions explain how to choose controllers for Super Mario Bros. Wonder on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2; the official pages reviewed do not establish a Windows PC edition. Steam can recognize and configure a Switch Pro Controller for supported PC games, but controller support does not make Wonder available on PC.
Can you play Super Mario Bros. Wonder on PC with a controller?
The official Wonder product page presents the game as a Nintendo Switch title, and the reviewed official material does not establish a Windows PC version. That is what those pages document; it does not rule out a future platform announcement.
As a result, there is no official PC-specific Wonder controller setup to follow based on these sources. Connecting a controller to Windows or configuring it in Steam only addresses controller input for a PC game that supports it; it does not install, unlock, or run Wonder on PC.
How to choose a controller for Wonder on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo’s controller instructions for Super Mario Bros. Wonder apply to play on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Start the game from the console HOME Menu, choose the number of players, then select the controller type. Follow the corresponding button prompt:

How to use a Switch Pro Controller with a supported PC game
Steam lists official Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers among the controller types it supports. The following steps are for a supported PC game—not for running Wonder on PC. Steam’s settings and labels can change; consult its current controller support help if the interface differs.
- Connect the Switch Pro Controller to your computer, either wired or wirelessly using your computer’s available connection method.
- Open Steam’s controller settings and check that Steam detects the controller.
- Confirm Steam Input is enabled for Switch Pro Controllers if the game needs Steam to translate or configure its inputs.
- Launch the supported PC game. If the buttons do not behave as expected, open that game’s controller layout in Steam and review its mapping.
Steam also allows users to add some non-Steam applications to the library for controller configuration. That feature may help configure a controller for a compatible application, but it is not evidence that Wonder has a PC version or will work through Steam.
