Warhammer Survivors is an upcoming roguelite survivors-style action game set across Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. Its announced gameplay revolves around fighting enemy hordes, earning experience, and collecting and evolving weapons. Official descriptions talk about playable characters and champions—not a confirmed class-selection system—so expect character-specific play styles rather than assuming you will choose from named classes.
The latest official announcement, published October 6, 2026, gives the launch date as November 10, 2026. The game is planned for PC, consoles, and mobile, and a new PC demo for Steam and Xbox includes two heroes.
What kind of game is Warhammer Survivors?
Warhammer Survivors is a standalone, fast-paced roguelite in the survivors-style action genre. You fight in an arena as enemies arrive in increasingly large hordes, gaining strength during a run by defeating foes and collecting weapons and power-ups. The setting brings together characters, enemies, and locations from both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar.
Steam lists Auroch Digital as developer and publisher, with Warhammer and poncle as partners. The official listing names arenas including Aqshy and an abandoned Space Hulk, and describes stages with different factions and secrets. Steam’s Warhammer Survivors listing characterizes the game as a roguelite survivors game.

How does gameplay and run progression work?
Fight, gain experience, and build strength
Each run centers on surviving arena combat. Defeating enemies earns experience; leveling up lets you gain weapons and power-ups. Weapons can then evolve, creating a stronger build as a run develops. The official descriptions emphasize a growing horde and a player who becomes more powerful over the course of play.
Enemies include factions from both universes. Auroch Digital’s FAQ names Skaven, Blades of Khorne, Tyranids, Orks, and Death Guard. An April 2026 Warhammer Community preview also describes Ork enemies and highlights Age of Sigmar characters including Neave Blacktalon, Gotrek Gurnisson, and Sharynn Azurwrath.

Character-specific weapons shape a run
The announced characters have distinctive weapon mechanics and evolutions, so choosing a character is expected to affect how combat feels. For example, PlayStation’s October 6 feature says Morvenn Vahl wields the Heavy Bolter Fidelis. It can trigger a rate-of-fire increase, and its evolution, Purgator Mirabilis, adds the Paragon Missile Launcher. Lyssa Revenya’s Rope and Grapnel fires hooks from screen edges, damaging enemies and dragging survivors; its evolved form summons the Ghost of Rhea effect. These examples illustrate the system, not the complete roster.
Does Warhammer Survivors have classes?
No formal class system has been established in the official material described so far. The game’s announcements refer to playable characters or champions, and the available examples focus on their individual weapons and evolutions. It is more accurate to think in terms of character-specific play styles than to expect a confirmed class menu, class names, or class-based roster breakdown.

The October 6, 2026 announcement reports more than 40 playable characters and more than 70 weapons. Those are publisher-reported counts; the announcement does not provide a complete roster or list every weapon. The new demo announced for Steam and Xbox on PC features the Legend of Catachan and Lyssa Revenya.
What progression carries between runs?
There is a distinction between getting stronger during a run and progression that persists across runs. Official descriptions explain the run-level loop—experience, weapons, power-ups, and weapon evolution—but the available material does not establish a complete, final account of persistent progression.

Auroch Digital discussed shared currency as a possible way to connect progression across the two Warhammer universes. The developer described it as something it was working on in a non-exhaustive change discussion and noted that changes were subject to revision. Treat shared currency as proposed or discussed, not as a confirmed launch feature. The developer’s FAQ also says demo progress will not transfer to the full game.

Warhammer Community’s October 6, 2026 announcement says Warhammer Survivors launches November 10, 2026. It is planned for PC through Steam and GOG, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. The announcement also says PS5 preorders are available. Availability and store details may vary by region; Steam’s listing showed the game as not yet available when checked.

Auroch Digital’s FAQ says a price had not been announced when that FAQ was published. That statement predates the October 6 launch announcement, so it should not be taken as confirmation of current pricing; check the relevant store listing for current price and availability.
