Choose the Razer Wolverine V4 Pro if you want wireless play on Xbox and PC plus removable, interchangeable hardware. Choose the Razer Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition if you prefer a wired setup with competitive controls and a 2 m cable. Both are positioned for Xbox and PC; the key decision is whether wireless flexibility is worth the Pro’s higher listed UK price, which can vary by market and date.
Which Wolverine V4 fits the way you play?
| Your priority | Model to consider | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wireless play and a configurable physical layout | Wolverine V4 Pro | Razer describes it as wireless for Xbox and PC. It has removable magnetic back buttons, interchangeable thumbstick caps, a removable faceplate, and four onboard profiles. (Razer Wolverine V4 Pro) |
| Wired play with competitive-focused controls | Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition | Razer describes it as wired for Xbox and PC. It has four mouse-click back buttons, dual-mode adjustable triggers, macro bumpers, a 2 m cable, and four onboard profiles. (Razer Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition) |
The Pro makes more sense if you expect to change your button layout or want to play wirelessly. The Tournament Edition is the more straightforward choice if you are happy to stay tethered and want its wired controls. Features alone do not establish that either controller will give every player a competitive advantage.
What is different about the Pro and Tournament Edition?
Wolverine V4 Pro: wireless and removable parts
The Pro’s headline distinction is wireless Xbox and PC play. Its magnetic back buttons can be removed, and Razer lists interchangeable thumbstick caps and a removable faceplate. If you do not need wireless play or those physical adjustments, those additions may not be useful to you.
Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition: wired controls
The Tournament Edition uses a wired connection and includes a 2 m cable. Its control features include four mouse-click back buttons, dual-mode adjustable triggers, and macro bumpers. Consider whether the cable length and a permanently wired setup suit your play area before choosing it.

How should you interpret the polling-rate claims?
Razer’s October 6, 2026 announcement says the Wolverine V4 line supports up to 250 Hz on Xbox Series X|S and up to 8,000 Hz polling on PC. The individual product pages also attach the 8,000 Hz maximum to PC, not Xbox. These are Razer-published claims, not independently tested results. (Razer’s Wolverine V4 announcement)
Razer also reports approximately 3,000 movement steps, measured using its RazerHyper Wireless dongle connected to a PC at 8,000 Hz polling. That is a manufacturer-reported measurement under those conditions; it should not be read as an Xbox result or as proof of a practical advantage for every player. Razer describes the sticks as using capacitive contactless sensors. Its pages are inconsistent about whether to call them Hall Effect, so that label is not a reliable way to distinguish these models.

What should you know about the Pro’s battery claim?
Razer’s Pro page gives conflicting maximum battery-life figures: a feature section says up to 27 hours, while its FAQ says up to 40 hours. Until Razer reconciles those statements or publishes a clarifying specification, neither figure should be treated as a settled estimate of how long the controller will last in your use.
