First identify whether you installed Arknights: Endfield through GRYPHLINK or Steam: their download and update steps are separate. Then check Windows and hardware requirements, available storage, network and server status, and any current official notices. Use symptom-specific fixes only for the symptom they address.
Check whether you use GRYPHLINK or Steam
Download and update troubleshooting depends on which PC client you installed. GRYPHLINE’s January 20, 2026 pre-download notice directs standard PC-client users to GRYPHLINK. The September 15, 2026 Steam notice describes a limited-access playtest and says Steam builds can only be downloaded and updated through Steam, not managed by GRYPHLINK. Confirm the current Steam availability and status on the Steam listing before following instructions for that build.

For the standard client, use GRYPHLINE’s pre-download instructions. The Steam-specific distinction and playtest caveat come from its September 15, 2026 announcement.
Endfield won’t download on PC: check requirements and space
GRYPHLINE’s January 20, 2026 PC requirements specify Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 64-bit and DirectX 11.1 or later. The minimum and recommended hardware listed in that notice is:

The same notice lists at least 50 GB of free storage plus another 40 GB for file extraction, and recommends an SSD. These are publisher-stated figures as of January 20, 2026; check the latest official notice for changes. An SSD is relevant if you need storage for the installation or are installing on non-SSD storage; it is not a general fix for download, network, account, or launch errors. - Confirm you have the 64-bit Windows edition and DirectX version listed above.
- Check free space on the drive that will hold the game, including the additional extraction space.
- If GRYPHLINK itself is the issue, make sure it is the current launcher rather than an older test version.
Endfield won’t launch or keeps crashing: follow the official checklist
GRYPHLINE’s support checklist for login, stuttering, or crashing problems proceeds from basic checks to reinstalling. It does not guarantee that any step will resolve a particular download or launch failure.

- Verify the PC requirements. Compare Windows, DirectX, CPU, GPU, and RAM against the publisher’s listed requirements.
- Check network and server status. Try a stable connection or switch to a better network, and check whether the game’s servers are available.
- Force quit and relaunch. Close the game or launcher completely, then open it again.
- Restart the PC. Relaunch the correct client after the restart.
- Try another platform or device, then switch back. This is part of GRYPHLINE’s general checklist, but may not apply to every account or access situation.
- Reinstall only if earlier steps fail. Use the same distribution platform you originally installed through.

Endfield update stuck: match the fix to the error
Stuck at “Releasing Resources 0%”
This specific freeze can occur after launching the PC client and downloading in-game update resources. GRYPHLINE’s targeted procedure is to replace hgdownloadsdk.dll with its official hosted file:

- Download hgdownloadsdk.dll from GRYPHLINE’s launcher CDN.
- In the launcher’s Game Settings, locate the game’s root folder.
- Copy the downloaded file into that folder and overwrite the existing file with the same name.
Use this procedure only for a freeze at “Releasing Resources 0%”; the publisher does not establish it as a fix for other errors. The full instructions are in the official “Releasing Resources 0%” support notice.
GRYPHLINK update error
Check that you are updating the standard client through GRYPHLINK’s game page and that you have the current launcher. If the game is installed through Steam, update it in the Steam Library instead. Then confirm free space and network/server status before trying the general checklist.

Blurry graphics or stuttering after NVIDIA App optimization
GRYPHLINE warns that enabling NVIDIA App optimization on an NVIDIA PC may cause blurry graphics or stuttering. If the symptom began after applying that optimization, follow the publisher’s NVIDIA App adjustment instructions rather than treating it as a download or update fix.
Abnormal performance with certain NVIDIA drivers
A Hypergryph notice dated March 16, 2026 names GeForce Game Ready drivers 595.79 and 595.71, and Studio driver 595.79, as potentially problematic. It suggested temporarily using DirectX 11 from the launcher or reinstalling an older driver through NVIDIA App. Driver guidance can become outdated; check the dated official notice and current support announcements before changing drivers.

Still not working? Send support useful diagnostics
Include enough detail for support to identify the account, PC, and failure rather than sending only “it won’t launch.” GRYPHLINE’s general checklist asks for:
- Gryphline Account ID and Game ID.
- Crash logs from
C:UsersxxxAppDataLocalTempHypergryphEndfield. - Player and SDK logs from
C:UsersxxxAppDataLocalLowHypergryphEndfield. - Device model or system information.
- A screenshot or video showing the error or behavior.
For the Steam playtest, the September 15, 2026 notice asks players to include UID, server, device specifications, a problem description, and relevant screenshots or recordings. It lists the in-game route Settings > Platform & Account > Contact Customer Support and the email endfield_cs@gryphline.com for Steam client problems. Official contact options are also listed on the GRYPHLINE support site.
