Excelでセルをクリックしたときにカレンダーを表示する方法は、利用している環境によって異なります。Excel for the webでは日付形式のセルにカレンダーが表示されるという利用者報告がありますが、すべての環境で保証された機能とは確認できません。Windowsデスクトップの旧式ActiveXコントロールはMicrosoft 365とOffice 2024で既定で無効です。MacとWebではActiveXを使えません。まず自分の環境で試し、使えない場合はアドインを探すか、日付入力の制限で代替する方法を選びましょう。
先に確認：どのExcelを使っていますか？
- Excel for the web：日付形式のセルを編集するとカレンダーが出る場合があります。利用者報告に基づく動作で、全環境での提供は確認されていません。
- Windowsデスクトップ版：ActiveXのカレンダーコントロールがPCにあり、利用可能なら追加を試せます。ただしMicrosoft 365とOffice 2024ではActiveXが既定で無効です。
- Excel for Mac：ActiveXコントロールはサポートされていません。アドインを探すか、日付の入力制限を設定してください。
- 目的が入力ミスの防止：カレンダーが必要でなければ、データの入力規則で日付や許容範囲を制限できます。
MicrosoftはActiveXについて、新しい解決策にはフォームコントロール、Officeアドイン、その他の最新機能を検討するよう案内しています（Microsoft Support: Add or register an ActiveX control）。
Excel for the webでセルのカレンダーを試す
- カレンダーを使いたいセルを選び、日付形式に設定します。
- そのセルを編集し、カレンダーが表示されるか確認します。
- 表示されない場合は、ホーム > アドインからOfficeアドインを開き、「date picker」などの語で検索します。
日付形式のセルを編集するとカレンダーが現れるという報告はMicrosoft Tech Communityにありますが、公式資料でWeb版のすべての利用環境に保証された挙動とは確認できません。表示の有無は自分のアカウントと環境で確かめてください（Microsoft Tech Communityの報告）。
アドインを追加する前に、ストア上の説明、発行元、プライバシー情報、評価を確認してください。Microsoftの案内ではExcel for the webからアドインを閲覧・検索・追加できますが、特定の日付ピッカーが常に掲載されているとは限りません（Microsoft Support: Get an Office Add-in for Excel）。

Windowsデスクトップで旧式ActiveXを確認する
この方法は、Windowsデスクトップ版で対象のコントロールがインストール済みかつ利用可能な場合に限ります。MacとExcel for the webでは使えず、Microsoft 365とOffice 2024ではActiveXが既定で無効です。組織の管理者が設定を変更している場合もあるため、表示や利用可否はPCごとに異なります。
- 開発タブを表示します。リボンにない場合は、Excelのオプションでリボンのユーザー設定を開き、「開発」を有効にします。
- 開発 > 挿入を開き、ActiveXコントロールまたは「その他のコントロール」を確認します。
- 利用可能なカレンダーコントロールが一覧にあれば選択し、ワークシート上に配置できるか試します。
必要なコントロールが一覧にない場合、存在しないOCXファイルをダウンロードして補う方法は案内できません。コントロールによっては登録が必要だったり、ワークシートではなくUserForm専用だったりします（ActiveXコントロールの追加と登録）。

ActiveXにはコンピューターへ広いアクセスを持つリスクがあります。出所を信頼できないブックのActiveXやその他のアクティブコンテンツは有効にしないでください（Microsoft Support: OfficeファイルのActiveX設定）。
カレンダーではなく日付入力を制限する
入力できる値を日付に限りたい、または開始日と終了日の範囲を指定したいだけなら、データの入力規則を使います。これは入力を制限し、入力時のメッセージやエラーを設定する機能で、カレンダーをポップアップ表示するものではありません。

- データ > データの入力規則を開きます。
- 条件の種類で「日付」を選び、必要に応じて許可する範囲を指定します。
- 必要なら入力メッセージやエラーメッセージも設定し、保存します。
設定項目や表示名はExcelの版によって異なる場合があります。データの入力規則で設定できる条件については、Microsoft Support: セルにデータの入力規則を適用するを参照してください。

比較するときは、Excelの版とOS、必要なのがカレンダー表示か入力制限か、ActiveXなどを許可できるか、アドインの発行元とプライバシー情報を確認できるかを基準にします。VBAで独自の入力フォームを作る方法もありますが、Microsoftのマクロ割り当て手順は完成済みの日付ピッカーを提供するものではありません（Microsoft Support: フォームまたはコントロールボタンにマクロを割り当てる）。
