戴尔 PowerEdge R660 的 E3.S 背板并非单一、通用的存储拓扑：官方资料分别列出 14 盘和 16 盘配置，而 16 盘组件由两块 8 盘背板组成。选购或更换前，应先确认服务器实际的前后盘位、控制器和线缆布局；仅凭“R660 E3.S 背板”或盘位数量，无法判断零件是否匹配。
先确认你的 R660 属于哪种 E3.S 配置
R660 的 E3.S 盘位数量不等于控制器设计。StorageReview 描述了直连 NVMe 与硬件 RAID 等不同方案；戴尔的服务手册则分别列出 14 盘和 16 盘 E3.S 背板维护流程。下表概括已记录的配置，不能据此推断不同背板或线缆可以互换。

如何判断替换背板是否匹配
下单前应以服务器现有配置和戴尔针对该机器的服务资料为准。官方手册确认存在 14 盘和 16 盘 E3.S 背板维护流程，并明确 16 盘组件由两块 8 盘背板组成；资料并未证明 14 盘与 16 盘组件可互换。

- 核对前置 E3.S 盘位数量，以及是否安装后置 E3.S 盘位。
- 确认当前是直连 NVMe 还是经 PERC12 的硬件 RAID，并记录控制器数量和连接关系。
- 确认需要一块 14 盘背板，还是两块 8 盘背板组成的 16 盘组件。
- 向卖家核实具体组件、随附线缆及装配尺寸；不要假设某个商品标题、SKU 或套装适用于你的服务标签。

以下步骤概述戴尔针对 16 x EDSFF E3.S 背板组件提供的流程。实际操作应遵循服务器对应版本的维修手册、安全准备要求及现场服务规范；不要将此流程直接套用于 14 盘组件。

- 按戴尔服务手册完成安全与维修准备，并按要求移除空气导流罩（如已安装）。
- 拆下背板盖和驱动器托架，以便接触背板。
- 在主板端和背板端断开背板线缆。
- 移开控制面板线缆的走线卡扣，再取出背板。戴尔特别警告：“为避免损坏背板，请确保在拆卸背板前，将控制面板线缆从线缆走线卡扣中移开。”
- 将替换背板的槽位对准机箱导轨，滑入并放低到位，再用 Phillips #2 螺丝刀拧紧螺钉。
- 重新连接背板线缆，并确认走线路径正确；戴尔要求避免线缆被夹住或压皱。
- 装回驱动器托架、空气导流罩（若此前拆下）和背板盖。第二块 8 盘背板按相同流程安装。
StorageReview 的性能数据应如何理解
StorageReview 于 2023 年 4 月 7 日发布的 R660 评测，测试系统使用两颗 Intel Xeon Platinum 8460Y、16 条 16GB DDR5-4800 内存，以及 8 块 Samsung PM1743 7.68TB E3.S SSD。其 Vdbench 合成测试报告了 4K 随机读取峰值 450 万 IOPS、延迟 223.2 微秒，以及 4K 随机写入峰值 516 万 IOPS、延迟 184.1 微秒。这些是该服务器配置与八盘测试的结果，不是单独测量背板的性能。查看 StorageReview 的 R660 评测与测试方法。
该评测还报告了使用八台虚拟机的 Sysbench/MySQL 工作负载达到每秒 29,086 笔事务；这是应用工作负载结果，与 Vdbench 合成存储测试不是同一项测试。评测说明合成测试填充了盘面，并使用相当于 SSD 容量 25% 的分区；作者指出，这种设置会产生高于全盘熵稳态测试的持续写入数值。因此，这些数据适合描述评测系统在其测试条件下的表现，不能当作所有 R660 E3.S 配置的保证值。
