Huawei’s new tri-fold phone, the HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN, went on sale in China on September 12, 2026, with a listed starting price of RMB 19,999. As of October 7, Huawei’s reviewed materials do not confirm an overseas launch date or an official way to buy the phone outside China. That could change; it is not evidence that the device will never launch internationally.
Can you buy the Huawei Mate XT 2 outside China?
Not through a confirmed official overseas sales route established by the sources available as of October 7, 2026. Huawei’s purchase guide gives China-market sales information, but does not establish local availability in other countries. The company’s product page and regional destinations do not, on their own, confirm that the Mate XT 2 is listed, stocked, or purchasable in a particular market.
This is a snapshot of confirmed availability, not a prediction that Huawei will never sell the phone abroad. If Huawei announces a regional launch, check the relevant local Huawei store or authorized sellers for the exact model, local price, warranty coverage, software and services, and network compatibility. An imported listing should not be treated as equivalent to official local sales.
When will the Huawei Mate XT 2 launch globally?
Huawei has not confirmed an overseas launch date in the official materials reviewed as of October 7, 2026. The timeline currently established is limited to the China launch and sales:

Is the Mate XT 2 the same as the original Mate XT?
No. The HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN is a different generation from the original HUAWEI Mate XT | ULTIMATE DESIGN. Huawei announced the original Mate XT’s global release in February 2025, which may explain expectations that the new model will also reach international markets. The predecessor’s release history does not confirm an overseas launch for the Mate XT 2.
For now, the reliable distinction is simple: Huawei has announced and begun China sales of the Mate XT 2, while an overseas rollout remains unconfirmed.
