What the Prime Day deal covers
The offer is for the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, an open-ear headset designed for workouts and everyday listening while moving. PCWorld’s Michael Crider reported the Amazon price at $125 on October 6, 2026, describing it as $55 off a $180 regular price. TechRadar’s 2026 deal coverage listed $124.75, a $55.20 reduction from $179.95. The outlets use slightly different reference prices, so their reported savings differ by 20 cents.
Both figures are snapshots from deal coverage. Amazon pricing, availability, and Prime Day offers can change; confirm the product, price, and stock on the retailer’s listing before checkout.
What makes the OpenRun Pro 2 different
Open-ear listening for movement
Unlike conventional earbuds that sit in the ear canal, the OpenRun Pro 2 leaves the ears uncovered. That lets ambient sound reach the listener while audio plays, a useful design choice for workouts or other listening on the move. It does not guarantee that outdoor activity is safe: stay alert to surroundings and follow local rules.

Sound and isolation trade-offs
Open-ear listening comes with a compromise. TechRadar notes that conventional in-ear or over-ear headphones can provide better sound quality, as well as more isolation. Choose the OpenRun Pro 2 for its open-ear format rather than expecting the sealed, immersive sound of traditional headphones.
Fit, weight, and battery figures
TechRadar’s 2026 guide lists the OpenRun Pro 2 at 30 g, with up to 12 hours of battery life and standard and mini headband sizes. These are the guide’s listed specifications for the Pro 2, not figures for the older OpenRun Pro.

Water resistance: sweat and rain, not swimming
PCWorld describes the headphones as resistant to sweat and rain, while TechRadar lists an IP55 rating and says the Pro 2 is not suitable for swimming. Do not treat the rating as permission to wear them in a pool: this is not a swimming headset.
Check model names before comparing specifications
Shokz’s official OpenRun Pro product page and its S810/S811 help-center spec sheet refer to the older OpenRun Pro, not the OpenRun Pro 2. For those older models, Shokz lists 10 hours of use, a five-minute quick charge for up to 1.5 hours on its product page, and a 29 g weight and IP55 sweat resistance in its spec sheet dated April 7, 2026. Do not use those figures as Pro 2 specifications; TechRadar’s Pro 2 figures are listed above.

Are bone conduction headphones good for swimming?

Are bone conduction headphones safer?
