You may be able to pay about $80 for GTA VI’s $99.99 PS5 Ultimate Edition by buying $100 in PlayStation Store credit for a reported $79.99 through a US Costco member promotion. This is a discount on store credit—not a sale price for the game—and the offer is time-sensitive and not confirmed at live checkout. Check Costco’s current price and stock before buying.
How the reported Costco deal works
Beebom reported on October 6, 2026 that US Costco members could buy four $25 PlayStation Store cards—$100 in total credit—for $79.99. The report says the offer ends October 11, 2026, or earlier if supplies run out. A Reddit post dated October 5 reported the same deal, but neither report proves the price is still available to every member at checkout.

If you can buy the credit for $79.99 and use it toward the PS5 Ultimate Edition, the effective cost is $79.99 before any applicable tax or other account-specific checkout charge. The PlayStation Store lists the game at $99.99; Costco is not selling the game itself for $79.99.
- Sign in to an eligible US Costco account and check the current listing for four $25 PlayStation Store cards. Confirm the final price, purchase limit, and stock at checkout.
- Proceed only if the total is still $79.99 and the terms work for you. The reported deadline is October 11, 2026, or sooner if the cards sell out. Beebom’s deal report and GamesRadar+’s report describe the promotion.
- Redeem the codes to the PlayStation account you will use to buy the game, then purchase the PS5 Ultimate Edition from the US PlayStation Store.
- Before redeeming, make sure the cards and your PlayStation account are for the same region. Rockstar warns that region mismatches can cause activation problems.
What GTA VI costs, and what the editions include
Take-Two announced US prices of $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. The US PlayStation Store lists both at those prices. The reported Costco offer makes the Ultimate Edition’s effective price similar to the Standard Edition’s listed price, but only if you can get the credit at the reported promotional rate.

The deal is for PlayStation credit
The reported Costco promotion covers PlayStation Store credit, which can be used for the PS5 edition. No equivalent Xbox offer is established here, so do not assume this method lowers the price of an Xbox purchase.

Physical packaging does not mean a disc
Rockstar says the physical version is a download code in a box, not a disc. Its Rockstar Store listing and pre-order details provide purchase information. Rockstar recommends buying from a retailer in the same country as your platform account to avoid activation problems.
Check the included GTA+ month
The US PlayStation Store listing says the pre-order includes one month of GTA+. The membership auto-renews at the regular monthly price until canceled, so review the subscription terms and cancel if you do not want it to continue.
