Tom’s Hardware reported on October 6, 2026, that the Asus ATS Radeon RX 9070 GRE was listed on Amazon for $529.99—$19.01 below the card’s reported $549 launch MSRP. The headline’s $529 figure is rounded; the article body gives $529.99. The report does not confirm that price is still available, so check the live listing, seller, stock, shipping, and return terms before buying.

What the $529.99 price means

The $549 comparison is the RX 9070 GRE’s reported global launch MSRP, not a guarantee that $549 is its usual current street price. Tom’s Hardware said the Asus ATS version’s observed price over the 30 days covered by its October 6, 2026 deal article ranged from $529.99 to $589.99. It also cited a maximum list price of $789.99, while noting that figure was less representative of recent sales. Those are figures from that dated report, not a live price tracker or confirmation of today’s offer. Read Tom’s Hardware’s October 6 deal report.

The offer is specifically for an Asus ATS Radeon RX 9070 GRE. It does not establish that other brands’ versions cost the same or that every RX 9070 GRE listing is the same card. Compare the exact model, retailer, seller, shipping cost, stock, and return policy on the listing before treating the reported price as a deal you can buy.

What the RX 9070 GRE offers

AMD lists the RX 9070 GRE as a desktop Radeon RX 9000-series GPU with 48 compute units, 48 ray accelerators, 96 AI accelerators, a 2220 MHz game frequency, 48 MB of Infinity Cache, and 12 GB of maximum memory. The deal report identifies that memory as GDDR6 on a 192-bit bus, with an 18 Gbps data rate and 432 GB/s bandwidth. The card uses PCIe 5.0 x16 and supports DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b, according to AMD’s model page.

These are GPU and manufacturer-listed capabilities, not a guarantee that every system or partner card has identical specifications. Board-partner models can differ in cooling, dimensions, and factory clocks. AMD lists support for Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 64-bit, and Linux x86 64-bit. AMD’s Radeon graphics cards page lists series specifications; its RX 9070 GRE model page gives model-level details.

Check power and case fit before ordering

AMD specifies 220W typical board power and recommends a minimum 650W power supply for the RX 9070 GRE. The model page also lists two 8-pin auxiliary power connectors. Check that your PSU has the required connectors and meets the recommendation; do not assume an adapter or a different partner card’s requirements will suit your setup. Verify the specific Asus ATS card’s dimensions against your case clearance, since partner-card sizes can vary.

How it compares with nearby Radeon models

Tom’s Hardware described the GRE as positioned between the RX 9060 XT and RX 9070 when AMD opened global availability on June 2, 2026, at a reported $549 retail launch price. In that outlet’s comparison, the GRE has 48 compute units, versus 56 in the RX 9070 and 64 in the RX 9070 XT; the GRE has 12 GB of memory, while both higher models have 16 GB. These figures help distinguish the models, but do not establish their current prices or a performance-per-dollar ranking. Tom’s Hardware’s June 1 launch report covers the global launch and positioning.

The 12 GB capacity is relevant if you plan to run demanding games at high settings: Tom’s Hardware’s deal article says it may constrain higher settings at 1440p. Treat that as the outlet’s assessment, not a universal limit; actual results depend on the game, settings, and workload. Consider your target resolution and the memory capacity of alternatives before choosing between models.

What the published gaming figures show

AMD’s official product page displays 1440p results of 100 FPS in Arc Raiders, 115 FPS in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, 82 FPS in The Last of Us: Part 2, and 86 FPS in Horizon Forbidden West. AMD says its May 2026 tests compared the RX 9070 GRE 12 GB across eight named games using a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32 GB DDR5-6000, Windows 11 Pro, an X870E motherboard, and driver 26.5.2. These are AMD lab results under that test setup, not a promise of the frame rate on another PC.

Separately, Tom’s Hardware reported averages of about 120 FPS at 1080p and 86.6 FPS at 1440p in its own 11-game raster-only suite. Those review figures are not the same test as AMD’s results and exclude ray tracing. The deal report does not provide enough detail here to treat either set of numbers as a direct comparison with every competing card.

Who should consider this deal

The reported $529.99 offer may interest someone seeking this specific 12 GB Radeon model below its reported launch MSRP, especially if their system meets AMD’s power recommendation and the card fits their case. It is less straightforward for buyers who need more than 12 GB of graphics memory or want a verified current price across multiple models. Compare current listings and your intended games and resolution rather than relying on the launch MSRP alone.
