A separate report that day listed a $145 Prime discount, however, and the available reports do not establish whether they refer to the same storage option or listing. Treat either figure as a dated report, not a guaranteed live price.
What the reported Galaxy S26 FE deal includes
Android Authority reported on October 6 that Amazon had reduced the phone from $699.99 to $574.99, a $125 reduction. PhoneArena’s October 6 report instead described a $145 discount with Prime. The reports do not identify enough matching listing details to explain the difference, so compare the exact storage configuration, seller, Prime eligibility, and checkout total rather than assuming the discounts are interchangeable.
The offer was reported during Amazon’s October Big Deal Days, scheduled for October 6–7, 2026. That short event window is another reason to verify the listing and its end time before ordering; the reported $574.99 price may no longer be available.
What to verify before you buy
- Storage: Samsung lists 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB options, subject to market availability. The reported deal articles do not establish that their prices apply to the same capacity.
- Seller and Prime: Check who is selling the phone and whether the lower price requires Prime. PhoneArena specifically described its reported discount as a Prime offer.
- Checkout price: Confirm the final price for the selected variant, including any delivery or tax shown at checkout. A headline discount is not confirmation that a particular listing remains at that price.
- Reference price: The $699.99 figure is Android Authority’s stated comparison price for the deal, not proof that every storage version normally sells for that amount.
What you get in the Galaxy S26 FE
Samsung announced the S26 FE on August 27, 2026. Its specification lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 60Hz or 120Hz refresh, an Exynos 2500 processor, a 4,900mAh battery, and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB depending on market availability. See Samsung’s official specifications for the listed details. The precise battery capacity is 4,900mAh; a deal article’s rounded 5,000mAh description should not be mistaken for the manufacturer’s stated figure.

Is $574.99 a good price?
It is a substantial reported reduction from Android Authority’s $699.99 reference, but whether it is good value depends on the exact capacity and the alternatives available at checkout. TechRadar reported US launch prices of $699 for 128GB and $799 for 256GB, and did not list a US 512GB version in its price table. It also reported launch prices of £699 in the UK and AU$1,149 in Australia for the standard version; these are launch figures, not current regional offers. Its comparison notes that the base Galaxy S26 and FE do not match on storage configuration, so a price-only comparison can mislead. See TechRadar’s S26 FE coverage.
If you are choosing between this phone and the Galaxy S25 FE, compare the actual prices for equivalent storage and consider whether the newer model’s features matter to you. SamMobile’s review highlights the S26 FE’s 120Hz display, wireless charging, 4,900mAh battery, and seven years of updates, but argues that the $100 launch-price increase over the S25 FE is not matched by substantial upgrades. That is the reviewer’s value assessment, not a rule that the older model is right for everyone. See SamMobile’s review.

How to decide
- Open the live Amazon listing and select the storage size you actually want.
- Check the seller, Prime requirement, final checkout price, and stated deal end time.
- Compare that price with current S25 FE offers and with the S26 FE’s launch pricing for the same storage, where an equivalent configuration is listed.
- Choose the S26 FE if its price and feature mix suit you; consider the S25 FE if it is meaningfully cheaper and the S26 FE’s newer features are not worth the difference to you.
Samsung positioned the phone as bringing signature Galaxy S-series strengths to more users. That is the manufacturer’s marketing description, not an independent assessment of value.
