This guide separates two different kinds of information: the official Roblox listing’s description of game mechanics and availability, and a community page’s subjective assessment of grimoire performance. Neither tier placement nor reported race bonuses should be treated as an official developer ranking.
The community tier-list page reviewed September 29, 2026 places Light and Anti-Magic in S tier. The captured material does not establish standardized, equal-level testing across builds or modes, so the ranking is a useful community starting point rather than proof that either grimoire wins every PvE or PvP matchup. Roblox’s Clover Legends listing describes the core loop as spinning for a grimoire, leveling it through combat, awakening it, progressing through eight islands, climbing 17 Magic Knight ranks, and crafting cosmetics from gathered materials. The same listing’s captured description does not include the three names reported by the newer community roster. Confirm the available books in the live game, especially after the New Season update. Unlock spells through book levels
A grimoire gains levels as you fight. Roblox’s game description says: “Hit Lv 10 and Lv 20 to unlock new spells in the book you already carry.” These spell milestones do not require another spin, so a reroll is not necessary just to access the level-10 or level-20 spells.
Awaken for a stronger progression path
The official description says awakening uses materials and boss Spell Pages, raises the level cap, and improves damage and critical performance. Choosing what to pursue
- If you are aiming for a top community-ranked grimoire: Light and Anti-Magic are the cited S-tier options, but their placement is not a guarantee of superiority in every build or mode.
- If you are progressing with your current book: Level it through combat to reach the spell unlocks at levels 10 and 20 before deciding that a spin is necessary.
- If you are comparing races: Base the decision on bonuses shown in the live race panel rather than copying percentages from an older or incomplete page.
