To claim an existing Apple Maps listing, use Apple Business: sign in with an account that can manage locations, add and select the existing place, then complete the verification Apple offers. If another organization already manages it, request a transfer and provide evidence that the location belongs to your organization.
Claim an existing Apple Maps listing through Apple Business
Apple’s current instructions use the name Apple Business. Older Apple materials call the service Apple Business Connect; follow the current Apple Business interface for this process.

Sign in to Apple Business with a user account whose role allows location management.

Open Brands > Locations, select Add, and search for the existing business location. Choose that result rather than creating a duplicate.

Review the map pin. Apple lets you drag it to the correct position or enter coordinates if it does not mark the right building.

Complete the location information, select or create a brand, and continue with the verification option Apple presents.

Complete the verification Apple offers
Organization verification
If your organization has not been verified, Apple requires you to complete organization verification and submit the location for Apple review. Allow mail from apple.com domains so verification messages are not filtered.

Phone verification, when available
For some existing Maps listings, Apple may offer phone verification. Apple calls the number already on record for the location, and you enter the four-digit code. This option is conditional, not guaranteed. If the number is unfamiliar or incorrect, contact Apple Business Support.
If another organization already manages the listing
Continue adding the location and request a transfer when Apple indicates that it is already managed. Explain why management should move to your organization and attach supporting documentation, such as a business license or utility bill. Apple says its review can take up to five business days; this is an estimate, not a guaranteed decision or completion date.

Check the business details before submitting
Compare every field with the location’s real-world details and official business information. Apple’s setup flow asks for a location name or display name, address and map position, primary category, open status, phone number, website, and hours. The website field is optional in the setup steps.
- Address and pin: Confirm the address and position point to the correct building or customer entrance.
- Category and status: Choose the most accurate primary category and indicate whether the location is open.
- Phone: Apple’s location details guidance calls for the location’s public number, including its country code.
- Website: Apple recommends a location-specific website where one exists. Its documented setup also allows a Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok page in the website field.
- Hours: Enter the location’s current hours and check them before submitting.
When an agency can manage the listing
Apple supports third-party partners, including agencies, that manage place information for an organization. The partner must register and be verified, after which the business shares access and partner-organization details. This is optional; you do not need to hire an agency to claim a location yourself.
