Autoblog reported on October 6, 2026, that DEWALT’s DWMT75049 192-piece mechanics tool set was 46% off during Amazon Prime Day. That is a dated deal report, not a verified live price: a separate October 7 report listed the set at $156 against a $289.99 reference price, and the figures conflict. Check the Amazon listing for the current price and availability before buying.
What the DEWALT DWMT75049 set includes
DEWALT identifies model DWMT75049 as a 192-piece mechanics tool set. Its product page describes three pear-head ratchets, sockets, extensions, universal joints and adapters. The set includes 1/4-inch-drive six-point sockets in SAE and metric sizes; DEWALT lists metric sizes from 4 mm to 14 mm. See the manufacturer’s product page for the full contents and socket coverage.
DEWALT also lists DirectTorque technology, a polished chrome vanadium finish, a knurled control ring and hand-stamped markings. These are manufacturer-listed features, not independent findings about performance or durability.

What was reported about the deal
Autoblog’s Chris Yuscavage reported the 46% discount on October 6, 2026, in connection with Amazon Prime Day. That report does not establish that the same discount remains available now.
#1 Best Overall
- Comprehensive Assortment: Includes 192 pieces—covering 1/4", 3/8 ratchet, and 1/2" drive ratchets, 1/4 socket set, 1/2 socket sets (SAE & metric), combination wrenches, extensions, adapters, hex keys, ratchet set metric wrench set, metric socket set, deep socket seta and accessories
- Ideal for mechanics, automotive, as a car tool kit and general maintenance tasks
- High-Quality Construction: Made from durable chrome vanadium steel for long life, corrosion resistance, and reliable heavy-duty performance. Mirror-polished chrome vanadium finish not only resists corrosion but also offers a professional look
- DirectTorque Technology: Sockets feature DirectTorque technology, which helps prevent rounding of fasteners and ensures optimal torque transfer
- 6-Point Socket Design: Provides better grip and reduces the risk of fastener rounding, especially compared to traditional 12-point sockets
A separate CNBC News report, published October 7, 2026, listed a price of $156 at Amazon and a reference price of $289.99. Those figures are also a dated report, not a live price check. Because contemporary reports differ on the exact offer, verify the listing’s price, seller and availability directly before ordering.
What to check before you buy
- Confirm the model: Look for DWMT75049, not just a similar DEWALT set name.
- Check the tool mix: Compare the manufacturer’s listed sockets, drive sizes and included accessories with the work you expect to do.
- Verify the deal on the listing: The reported percentage and price may no longer apply, and the reports do not establish current availability.
DEWALT’s socket and ratchet set catalog also lists other set sizes, including 200-piece and 242-piece options. Piece count alone does not establish which set offers better quality or value; compare the actual contents and current listing prices.
