For a stacked quick-slot key in Aion 2, place the skill you want checked first at the bottom: the game checks upward and uses the first skill that is available. Put repeatable filler skills higher, and keep actions that need precise timing on separate keys. A Skill Macro is different: it attempts a series of actions, and the sequence is not guaranteed to behave like a fixed rotation.
How skill priority works on a stacked quick slot
According to AllThingsHow’s guide, updated October 6, 2026, a quick slot can hold up to four active skills. When you press its key, the game checks from the bottom of the stack upward. It uses the first available skill; it does not cycle through the stack and fire each skill in turn.
If the bottom skill is on cooldown or its activation condition is unmet, the game may skip it and use the next available skill above it. This makes the stack a priority check on each keypress, not a complete rotation.
Where to place each kind of skill
- Bottom: A skill you want to use whenever it is ready, especially one with a cooldown or activation condition.
- Above it: A repeatable filler skill to cover periods when the lower-priority skill cannot be used.
- On a separate key: A defensive reaction, a heal you may want to hold, a buff to sync with a window, or a charged attack that needs deliberate timing.
Do not put a timing-sensitive action in a stack if you need to decide when it fires. The priority system may select it automatically as soon as higher-priority options are unavailable.

Set up and test a priority stack
- Choose the class and activity. Decide whether you are setting up for PvE, PvP, or another activity. Do not assume another class’s arrangement—or even the same class’s setup for a different mode—will suit your needs.
- Check each skill’s current tooltip. Note its cooldown, resource cost, and activation conditions. Class skills can have different follow-up requirements, so verify what makes each one usable.
- Build one stack. Put the skill you want prioritized at the bottom and a suitable repeatable filler above it. Keep actions requiring player-chosen timing on their own keys.
- Test against a consistent target. Check that the intended skill appears when ready, that the filler covers unavailable periods, and that you can still move and react. Change one placement at a time.
- Compare damage carefully. Keep the target, equipment, buffs, and measurement mode consistent. Palpikt’s global PC guide describes an in-game damage-measurement window, but cautions that its output does not capture every support contribution or encounter responsibility.
How a Skill Macro differs from a priority stack
A priority stack chooses among skills placed on one quick slot when you press its key. A Skill Macro, by contrast, attempts a series of actions or quick slots in sequence. Palpikt’s global PC guide notes that manual input takes priority and that the configured macro sequence is not guaranteed. Neither tool should be treated as a guaranteed, fixed class rotation.
Build a macro only after testing the actions manually
- Use each skill manually and confirm its target, resource, cooldown, and activation conditions.
- Add only actions whose behavior you understand to the macro.
- If an expected action does not happen, test that action manually and shorten the sequence to isolate the problem before adding stages or changing delays.
Menu labels and controls can vary with language and player bindings, so follow the labels shown in your client rather than relying on a universal menu path.

Why there is no universal best order
Aion 2’s class and mode balance can change what is useful. In a March 25, 2026 announcement, NCSOFT described class adjustments, new Stigma skills, a maximum of five Stigma slots, and separate PvP and PvE damage calculations. Those changes show why a generic stack should not be presented as an optimal rotation for every class or activity; the announcement does not specify a current universal upgrade order.
Palpikt’s October 6, 2026 global PC guide distinguishes active inputs from passive and Stigma skills. It notes that ordinary skill points raise skills to level 10, with other progression sources extending them, while Stigma skills use a separate currency. Those progression differences do not determine which skill belongs at the bottom of every stack.
