Reports dated October 5, 2026 said its Steam playtest had opened, with access requests available through the game’s Steam page. The listing itself still labels the full game “Coming soon,” so check the live page to see whether playtest requests remain open.
What is MarchMallows?
Steam lists MarchMallows as an indie strategy game developed and published by Perfect Execution Games. Its store description has players guide Marchies safely home by placing tools, objects, and contraptions to clear routes, block hazards, make shortcuts, and trigger mechanisms. The advertised dangers include grinders, spikes, hammers, rolling rocks, and cliffs.
The developer’s September 25, 2026 Reddit announcement describes the game as Lemmings-inspired, with 3D maps, a campaign, multiplayer, and a level editor. In its co-op mode, players share tools and must agree on placements before the Marchies start moving. This is the developer’s description, not an independent assessment of how the game plays.
What does the playtest reportedly include?
COGconnected and Family Friendly Gaming both reported on October 5, 2026 that the Steam playtest was live. COGconnected described a co-op campaign, competitive minigames, and a level editor; the reports direct interested players to the Steam page to request access. These are reports about the playtest, not hands-on gameplay findings.

Steam advertises solo play, online co-op for up to four players, online PvP between two teams from 1v1 to 4v4 across five rounds, and a level editor. Its listing also says a no-blood mode is available, in which characters spray candy instead. The store page does not establish which of its advertised features are included in the current playtest build.
How to check for playtest access
- Open the MarchMallows Steam store page.
- Look for the playtest access option on the live page and follow Steam’s instructions to request access, if the option is available.
- Check the page for any change in availability or instructions. The October 5 reports say requests could be made through Steam, but do not establish whether access is granted automatically, by invitation, or for a limited period.
The Steam listing retrieved for this article labels the game “Coming soon” and says it is not yet available on Steam. That release label does not by itself settle whether a separate playtest is open. The reports confirm what was said on October 5, 2026; they are not a guarantee that requests are still being accepted.

Steam also notes that its client has supported Windows 10 and later since January 1, 2024. That client requirement is separate from the game’s minimum operating system as listed above.
