Pinterest has appointed James Dibbo, an Amazon finance executive, as its next chief financial officer. The change takes effect October 26, 2026: Dibbo will report to CEO Bill Ready, while outgoing CFO Julia Brau Donnelly will advise the company through October 30 to support the transition.
Who is Pinterest’s incoming CFO?
James Dibbo is joining Pinterest from Amazon, where he most recently served as Vice President and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising and Corporate Development. Pinterest announced the appointment on October 5, 2026. It is effective October 26, 2026, so the change has not yet taken effect as of October 7, 2026. Pinterest’s announcement names Dibbo and sets out the transition.
What will Dibbo oversee at Pinterest?
Dibbo will report to CEO Bill Ready and lead Pinterest’s global finance organization. His remit includes finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investor relations, treasury, tax, business and corporate development, internal audit, and workplace.
What did he do at Amazon?
In his most recent Amazon role, Dibbo’s finance remit covered Amazon Ads, Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Music, Audible, and Twitch. Pinterest also says that during his decade at Amazon he served as CFO of Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer.

Who is leaving the CFO role, and when?
Julia Brau Donnelly will cease serving as Pinterest CFO effective October 26, 2026. She will remain in an advisory capacity through October 30 to support an orderly handoff. Pinterest announced Donnelly as CFO on May 30, 2023, after her finance and accounting leadership role at Wayfair. Pinterest’s 2023 announcement described her appointment and responsibilities.

Dibbo’s earlier career and qualifications
Before Amazon, Pinterest says Dibbo was CFO of P.F. Chang’s and held senior finance leadership roles at Tesco and BT Group. He began his finance career at PwC in London. Pinterest says he holds a B.S. in Economics from Cardiff University and is a Chartered Accountant (FCA).
