XGIMI’s U.S. reservation page lists two AURA 3 ultra-short-throw projectors: the AURA 3 Max, advertised at 5,700 ISO lumens, and the AURA 3 Pro, advertised at 4,100 ISO lumens. The page lists refundable $50 deposits and early-bird prices of $2,199 and $1,999, respectively. XGIMI plans to launch the Kickstarter campaign on October 20, 2026, with shipping expected to begin in December. These are company announcements and specifications, not independently verified test results.
What’s different between the AURA 3 Max and AURA 3 Pro?
XGIMI describes both models as 4K UHD projectors with an RGB triple-laser light source and 4K 120Hz playback. The Max is the brighter, higher-priced model on XGIMI’s U.S. reservation page; its advertised native contrast is also higher.
| Advertised item | AURA 3 Max | AURA 3 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution and light source | 4K UHD; RGB triple laser | 4K UHD; RGB triple laser |
| Playback | 4K 120Hz | 4K 120Hz |
| Brightness | 5,700 ISO lumens | 4,100 ISO lumens |
| Native contrast | 8,000:1 | 7,000:1 |
| Super early-bird price on U.S. reservation page | $2,199 | $1,999 |
| Stated MSRP on U.S. reservation page | $4,999 | $3,999 |
Specifications and prices are published by XGIMI and may change; they are not independent measurements or guaranteed final retail terms. The higher brightness figure alone does not establish which model will look better in a particular room or with a particular screen.
Are the 5,700-lumen claims independently verified?
No independent brightness or contrast measurements, input-lag results, or hands-on findings were established in the product and launch materials reviewed. Treat the 5,700 ISO-lumen and 8,000:1 figures for Max, and the 4,100 ISO-lumen and 7,000:1 figures for Pro, as XGIMI’s advertised specifications—not independent test results. XGIMI also makes feature and performance claims, including reduced rainbow effect, that should likewise be attributed to the company.
