The rankings below summarize guides covering version 1.1.9: Pocket Gamer updated its list on October 6, 2026, and Pro Game Guides said it rechecked its rankings on September 24, 2026. Neither list is an official ranking from the game’s developer, and the guides do not establish universal consensus.
Compare like with like. Archero 2 Hub says its character tiers assume comparable star levels, gear, and rune pools, and notes that a character’s position can differ between PvE and PvP. A high tier indicates a guide author’s assessment under its assumptions—not an automatic upgrade for every account.

What the character rankings mean for your account
- Nezha and Wukong: Pocket Gamer places both in SS. That makes them the guide’s highest-ranked characters, but it does not show that they are the best investment at every star level or in every mode.
- Dracoola: Pocket Gamer highlights lifesteal from 1-star and says the character improves with stars. The 1-star passive may make the character’s value depend on how much investment you can commit.
- Seraph: Pocket Gamer says Seraph increases the chance of encountering Valkyrie early and helps unlock higher-grade abilities. That utility may matter to players prioritizing ability access.
- Nyanja: Pocket Gamer notes increased movement speed and Swift Wind by default. Archero 2 Hub recommends Nyanja as a low-investment option for some free-to-play beginners, showing why a lower tier can still be practical.
- Helix: Pocket Gamer says Helix becomes stronger at low health, a condition that can make the benefit risky to use.
- Alex: Pocket Gamer identifies Alex as the starting character and notes an attack-speed boost based on critical hits at 2-star.
Before spending character resources, consider the mode you play, your current star thresholds, the cost of the next upgrade, and whether the character’s passive supports your build. Archero 2 Hub’s rankings also flag that some characters’ power changes substantially at particular star levels.

Pocket Gamer places Oracle, Griffin, Dragoon, and multiple pieces from those sets and Decisiveness among its S-tier gear. Its list places Echo and Dragon Knight items in A tier or lower. Pro Game Guides adds use-case context to several of the strongest set choices:

Pro Game Guides advises early players to use the highest-fusion gear they have before targeting particular pieces. In practical terms, do not treat a set name alone as a reason to replace more highly fused equipment; weigh the fusion advantage against the effect you would gain from the set or item.

Skill value depends on what you are trying to do and which other abilities and gear your run offers. Pocket Gamer explicitly cautions that its ability list is play-style-relative; Cristina Mesesan writes, “There is no definite Archero 2 tier list when it comes to abilities here.” Treat S tier as a useful shortlist, then judge a skill by how well it supports the build and content you are playing.

What changed in version 1.1.9
Pro Game Guides reports that version 1.1.9 rebalanced the Dragoon set and Meteor build runes, and added the Starmoon Vow event. It did not provide exact rebalance values and said the rankings would be adjusted after testing, so the available guide supports noting the change but not claiming a quantified improvement or a specific new power level. The event dates reported by that guide were September 19 to October 2, 2026; it is not current as of October 7, 2026.
Pro Game Guides also reports campaign chapters 201–210 and Hard Mode chapters 186–195 in its version 1.1.9 coverage. These version details are attributed to that guide; no official developer patch notes are available here to independently verify them.

- Start with your mode. Decide whether you are optimizing for PvE progression, boss damage, or PvP; the gear recommendations differ by use case.
- Compare equivalent investment. Account for character stars, gear fusion, and rune pool rather than comparing a highly invested option with a minimally developed one.
- Check the effect, not just the tier. Consider whether a passive or set bonus supports your intended play style, including conditions such as nearby enemies, critical hits, low health, or access to early abilities.
- Spend for the next useful breakpoint. A top-ranked character may be a poor immediate investment if its value depends on stars you cannot reach affordably; a lower-ranked, lower-investment choice may serve you better now.
- Reassess after balance changes. The 1.1.9 Dragoon and Meteor rune changes illustrate why rankings can shift between versions, particularly when a guide has not yet published exact balance values.
