WPP and Kyndryl’s expanded partnership has three strands: modernizing WPP’s technology operations with Kyndryl’s Agentic AI Framework, broadening Kyndryl’s marketing relationship with WPP, and pursuing customer work together. The announcement, published on 6 October 2026, describes plans and expected benefits—not completed deployments or measured results.
What the expanded partnership covers
The companies describe three workstreams with different purposes. The announcement names platforms and intended activities, but does not publish comparable performance results.

How WPP plans to use the Agentic AI Framework
The framework is intended to help modernize WPP’s application estate and support operations. The planned operating model brings workplace, cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise services together under a common automated model. The release also describes retiring legacy applications and accelerating adoption of strategic enterprise platforms.
Kyndryl Bridge is the named platform for integrating, observing, and orchestrating across WPP’s technology environment. Kyndryl describes it as AI-powered and open to integration. These are components of the proposed operating model; the announcement does not establish that the changes have been deployed or demonstrate their effect.

WPP expects savings and efficiencies over time and says it will reinvest part of those savings. The release gives no savings estimate, measured impact, or implementation timetable.
What “agentic AI” means in Kyndryl’s description
Kyndryl launched its Agentic AI Framework in July 2025. It describes the framework as coordinating specialized, self-directed and self-learning agents that respond to changing conditions, with humans retaining oversight. That is Kyndryl’s account of its approach, not independent evidence of results at WPP. Kyndryl’s framework announcement provides the company’s description.

Kyndryl later announced Agentic Modernization services-as-software built using the framework and scaled through Kyndryl Bridge. That broader portfolio context does not mean the WPP agreement includes every offering described in the separate announcement. Kyndryl’s 6 August 2026 announcement describes those services.
How the marketing and go-to-market strands differ
Expanded marketing relationship
Kyndryl names WPP its “preferred global marketing partner.” The described scope extends beyond media, brand, and creative strategy to digital, experiential, and integrated marketing capabilities. The companies also say they will enable an AI-powered Marketing Operating System built on WPP Open. “Preferred” does not establish that WPP is Kyndryl’s exclusive partner; the release does not state exclusivity or a term.

WPP Open also appears in a separate WPP announcement about its expanded partnership with Adobe and client marketing operations. That announcement is background on WPP Open, not a term of the Kyndryl agreement. WPP’s 24 February 2026 announcement describes the Adobe relationship.
Joint customer work
Kyndryl Consult and WPP Enterprise Solutions—which the release identifies as formerly VML Enterprise Solutions—are to continue strengthening their joint efforts to pursue customer growth through modernization and core business transformation. The companies cite reimagining customer engagement with AI, data, and emerging technology, but do not name customer projects or report resulting revenue.

What is—and is not—established
The primary announcement sets out intended work and expectations, not evidence of delivery. It does not disclose a contract value, savings estimate, deployment date, measured impact, or specific customer wins. Read the Kyndryl–WPP announcement for the companies’ stated scope and remarks.
