Temari Trials: Dojo’s Test is a compact logic puzzle game built around pushing temari balls into locked chests. Its 30 handcrafted stages mix a Sokoban-like planning puzzle with balls that slide and collide; reviewer Dave Ozzy praised that combination but found the game short and not especially difficult. That is one critic’s assessment, not a consensus or a measured completion-time estimate.
How Temari Trials: Dojo’s Test plays
The basic objective is to guide temari balls into locked chests. Each hit removes a lock, and balls can push other balls, so the order and direction of a move matter. Nintendo’s UK Switch listing describes 30 handcrafted single-player stages.
In his review, Dave Ozzy describes the balls as sliding until they hit a wall, a goal, or another ball. That gives each push consequences beyond the immediate move: a ball can travel farther than one space, and positioning another ball can change where it stops. Ozzy also notes that later stages introduce redirect tiles, adding another way to alter a ball’s path.
Chests can take one to three hits, according to Nintendo’s listing. Ozzy adds that any ball can open a chest and that some shielded chests require two balls. Together, these rules make the puzzle less about simply reaching a target than arranging a sequence of useful collisions and hits.

What the review praises—and where it falls short
Dave Ozzy gave the game 3.5/5 in TheXboxHub review dated October 5, 2026. He liked the blend of sliding puzzles and Sokoban-style pushing, the snooker-like interactions between balls, and the way new mechanics arrive over the course of the stages. He also points to undo and retry options as useful ways to recover from a bad move.
His reservations are that some layouts feel familiar, the game is short, and the challenge is not especially high. Those are a single reviewer’s judgments; the available sources do not establish a completion-time figure or broader player consensus.

Is it a good fit for you?
- Consider it if you like compact, turn-based puzzles where a push can set off a chain of movement, and you enjoy planning around collisions and changing ball paths.
- Think twice if you want a long campaign, a particularly demanding logic game, or a puzzle format that feels wholly unfamiliar; Ozzy’s review specifically flags short length, modest difficulty, and some familiar layouts.
- For Switch play, Nintendo lists handheld, tabletop, and TV modes, as well as Nintendo Switch Pro Controller compatibility. The listing says the controller is compatible, not required.
