What certificate does NCERT award, and what does it qualify you for?
Successful learners receive an NCERT e-certificate titled “Teaching of Science at Middle Stage.” NCERT explicitly distinguishes this academic course from professional appointment qualifications: “NCERT does not claim this course to be equivalent to any other course required as a qualification for teacher’s appointment. This is purely an academic course and cannot be claimed for any exemption.” If your goal is to meet a teacher-appointment requirement or obtain an exemption, do not treat this diploma as a substitute.
The reviewed official course materials do not state enrollment totals, pass rates, learner outcomes or results from an evaluation study. They therefore do not establish how effective the course is at improving teaching outcomes.
