Amazon reportedly cut $50 from the listed prices of four Apple Watch Series 12 configurations on October 6, 2026. Based on the prices in PhoneArena’s report, the reductions bring the 42 mm GPS model to $349, the 46 mm GPS model to $399, the 42 mm GPS + Cellular model to $449, and the 46 mm GPS + Cellular model to $499. Those are reported, implied prices—not live-verified Amazon prices—so check the exact configuration before buying.

PhoneArena reported that Amazon’s October 6 promotion took $50 off the listed prices for these four size and connectivity combinations. The sale prices below are calculated by subtracting that reported discount from the list prices PhoneArena gave; the report does not establish that each price remains available now.

These are US prices as reported by PhoneArena, not a current checkout check. The report described the discount as the first Amazon markdown of its kind and said Prime membership was not required. Those claims come from PhoneArena; they do not confirm present eligibility, stock, or price.
What “every variant” means in the report
PhoneArena’s report covers the two case sizes—42 mm and 46 mm—and both connectivity options, GPS and GPS + Cellular. It does not establish that every color, band, or other listing combination was discounted or available. At Amazon, select the size and connectivity you want and verify the displayed price for that exact configuration; do not assume a price shown for one option applies to another.

What Series 12 adds
Apple announced Apple Watch Series 12 on September 9, 2026, with US availability beginning September 18 and a US starting price of $399. Apple lists new optical and electrical heart sensors, higher-frequency heart-rate and heart-rate variability (HRV) readings, a readiness score, and Audio Intelligence capabilities among the updates. These are Apple’s product descriptions, not independent test findings. Apple’s Series 12 announcement provides the feature details.
Apple says Series 12 measures heart rate every five seconds and offers up to 24 hours of everyday battery life under its specified testing conditions. Actual battery life can vary. Apple also says a study involving over 1,000 participants found its heart-rate sensing accuracy was highest across the devices it compared; that is Apple’s description of an Apple-conducted study, not independent validation.

Which configuration should you compare?
Choose size based on fit and preference
The reported promotion applies to both 42 mm and 46 mm cases, but it does not make one size universally preferable. Consider how each case feels on your wrist and how much display area you want, then compare the price attached to that exact size.
Choose connectivity based on how you use your phone
The report lists both GPS and GPS + Cellular versions. Compare their prices against your need for cellular connectivity and any related service costs; the reported discount alone does not establish whether cellular is worth the added expense for you.

Compare against older models at current prices
PhoneArena noted that an Apple Watch Series 11 might be available at a deeper discount, but its report did not verify a current Series 11 offer. Check current prices for the older model as well if the Series 12 health and software features are not essential to your decision.
