Pocket Gamer’s October 2026 Where Winds Meet tier list places five weapons in S tier, five in A tier, and four in B tier. Treat it as an editorial starting point—not an official or tested ranking: the guide says players can equip two weapons, and the better choice depends on your role, content, and weapon pairing.
October 2026 weapon tier list
The placements below reproduce Pocket Gamer’s October 5, 2026 guide, which labels its list Version 1.0.24. The descriptions are the guide author’s assessments, not published damage tests, win rates, or official rankings.
| Tier | Weapons | What Pocket Gamer says |
|---|---|---|
| S | Strategic Sword; Heavenquake Spear; Panacea Fan; Nameless Sword; Everspring Umbrella | Strategic Sword is described as offering damage over time and burst; Heavenquake Spear as combining area damage and bleed; Panacea Fan as a healing and support option; Nameless Sword as a mobile ranged all-rounder; and Everspring Umbrella as ranged damage with bleed and area damage, but fragile and harder to master. |
| A | Infernal Twinblades; Thundercry Blade; Nameless Spear; Heavenquaker Spear; Unfettered Rope Dart | The guide favors Infernal Twinblades more for PvP than PvE, calls Thundercry Blade a defensive, shield-oriented tank choice, and describes Nameless Spear as burst-capable but close-range. It lists Heavenquaker Spear separately from Heavenquake Spear. |
| B | Vernal Umbrella; Mortal Rope Dart; Stormbreaker Spear; Inkwell Fan | The guide describes Vernal Umbrella as vulnerable while airborne, Mortal Rope Dart as useful as a secondary weapon, Stormbreaker Spear as defense-focused, and Inkwell Fan as limited by resistible effects and slow animations. |
Source: Pocket Gamer’s weapon tier list. Its author, Connor Derrick, cautions that he did not explore every Martial Skill or every build and says the listed weapons can handle most content outside specific challenges. That caveat is a reminder to judge a weapon in the build and activity you actually play.
Why the tier labels are not a universal ranking
The list is one writer’s evaluation, not a controlled comparison. A September 13, 2026 fan evidence review for Version 2.1 reports eight weapon families and selected official balance changes, but says its evidence does not establish a complete official S/A/B order. It withholds PvE and PvP placements pending matched, repeatable testing. Officially reported roster or balance information alone cannot establish that one weapon outperforms another in every mode.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The consulted pages also use different version labels: Pocket Gamer says Version 1.0.24, the evidence review covers Version 2.1, and a build planner last verified October 6 says Version 2.2. They do not explain whether those labels reflect different platform branches, regions, or versioning systems. Keep each source’s version attached to its claims rather than combining them into a single current-patch ranking.

Choose for your role and weapon pairing
Because the Pocket Gamer guide says you equip two weapons, a tier label is only one part of a decision. Consider what the pair contributes together rather than choosing two weapons simply because they share a high tier.
- Damage over time and burst with area damage: Pocket Gamer recommends Strategic Sword with Heavenquake Spear, pairing the former’s damage-over-time and burst description with the latter’s area damage. The build planner spells the spear “Heavenquaker Spear” and lists the combination as Bellstrike – Umbra.
- Healing or support: If you want a support role, the guide’s S-tier Panacea Fan description may be more relevant than a damage-focused placement.
- Range and mobility: The guide presents Nameless Sword as a mobile ranged all-rounder and Everspring Umbrella as a ranged damage option; it also notes the latter’s fragility and higher learning curve.
- Defense: The guide describes Thundercry Blade as shield-oriented and Stormbreaker Spear as defense-focused, though it places them in different tiers.
- Mode and survivability: The guide’s assessment of Infernal Twinblades is stronger for PvP than PvE. Its warning about Vernal Umbrella while airborne may matter if that exposure does not suit your playstyle.
The planner lists ten martial paths and says weapon martial arts can be paired freely. Its entry for Strategic Sword with Heavenquaker Spear is Bellstrike – Umbra. However, the planner says its Inner Way, gear-set, and stat recommendations were still being re-checked for Version 2.2, so its path table does not establish an optimal build.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to use the list before committing to a weapon
- Start with the activity. Decide whether you are prioritizing PvE, PvP, or a particular challenge; the guide’s own comments distinguish between modes, and the sources do not publish controlled scores across them.
- Pick a role. Decide whether you need damage, healing or support, defense, mobility, range, or area coverage.
- Assess the two-weapon combination. Look for complementary strengths, such as the Strategic Sword and Heavenquake/Heavenquaker Spear pairing, instead of treating each tier placement as a standalone verdict.
- Check the version context. Confirm which game version applies to your platform and region, then treat guides labeled 1.0.24, 2.1, or 2.2 as source-specific rather than assuming the labels are interchangeable.
- Reassess when balance changes or your build changes. The available sources do not provide numeric comparisons, so a tier label cannot substitute for testing your own setup in the content you play.
Where Winds Meet is described by the game’s official website as a free-to-play game; the guide lists iOS, Android, and Steam availability. Check the official game website for current platform information.
