PlayStation Blog is asking readers to vote for the September 2026 new release they would recommend to a friend. The official poll was published on October 5, 2026; use the live PlayStation Blog poll to see the ballot and cast your vote.
What the September Players’ Choice poll asks
The question is personal, not a request to identify an objectively best game: “Which game was your favorite?” PlayStation Blog asks voters to choose the one new release from September they would recommend to a friend. The poll post is by O’Dell Harmon Jr., Content Communication Specialist at Sony Interactive Entertainment, and was published October 5, 2026. Read the official poll post.

PlayStation Blog says it opens a poll at the end of each month, counts votes after the poll closes, and announces the winner on its social channels and PlayStation.Blog. The October 5 post does not give a closing date or report a September winner, so check the live poll for its current status.
Which games are eligible?
The poll covers new games released in September 2026. PlayStation Blog excludes rereleases but says ambitious, larger-scale remakes can qualify; it points to Resident Evil 4 (2023) and Final Fantasy VII Remake as examples of the kind of remake it means.

The English post names Marvel’s Wolverine, Control Resonant, Dune: Awakening, and NBA 2K27 as prominent examples of the month’s releases, not as a complete nominee list. PlayStation Blog says its editorial team gathers the month’s most noteworthy releases to seed the poll, but does not publish a more detailed selection formula. For the full ballot, refer to the official poll. A German-language PlayStation Blog poll page also shows a wider set of options, including Aniimo, BrokenLore: Don’t Lie, EA Sports FC 27, Endless Legend 2, Keeper, and Silent Hill: Townfall; that page’s visible list should not be treated as a substitute for checking the current ballot. See the German-language poll page.
How to choose your vote
There is no official scoring rubric. Pick the eligible new release you personally liked most or would most confidently recommend to a friend. That keeps the choice aligned with PlayStation Blog’s stated criterion rather than turning the poll into a technical comparison or buying guide.
