Which phone has the better display?
The M17 has the clear display advantage. Its 1080 × 2340 FHD+ Super AMOLED panel should show finer detail and stronger contrast than the M06’s 720 × 1600 HD+ PLS LCD. Both list a maximum 90 Hz refresh rate, so the M17’s upgrade is resolution and panel type—not a higher stated refresh rate.
The M06’s screen is listed as 6.74 inches and the M17’s as 6.65 inches using Samsung’s full-rectangle measurements. If you prefer a larger screen, the M06 is slightly larger on paper; for sharper text, video, and richer contrast, the M17 is the stronger choice.

How do their cameras compare?
The M17 offers a broader listed rear-camera setup: a 50 MP main camera, 5 MP camera, and 2 MP camera. Samsung lists optical image stabilization (OIS) for the M17’s rear camera, while OIS is not listed for the M06. Stabilization can help reduce blur from hand movement, particularly in still photos and video, but the specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos in every condition.
The front camera is listed at 13 MP on the M17 and 8 MP on the M06. Samsung’s reviewed M06 specifications state FHD recording at 1080p and 30 fps; its M17 specifications do not provide an equally clear video-recording frame rate. Do not treat a video-playback specification as a recording capability.

Which phone is more durable?
Samsung lists an IP54 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus on the M17’s display; the reviewed M06 specification page shows no IP rating. Samsung cautions that water- and dust-resistance can diminish with wear and does not advise taking the M17 to the beach or pool. An IP54 rating is not a reason to expose a phone deliberately to water or dust.
Are performance, storage, and battery life different?
Processors
The M06 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and the M17 the Exynos 1330, according to Samsung’s product pages. Both list octa-core CPU speeds of 2.4 GHz and 2.0 GHz. Those clock figures do not establish which processor is faster, and there is no comparable benchmark evidence here to make a performance ranking.

Memory and storage
The reviewed Samsung pages cover 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage versions of both phones. Samsung explicitly lists microSD expansion up to 1.5 TB for the M06; the reviewed M17 page does not establish comparable expansion support. Check the exact M17 variant and SIM/storage configuration if expandable storage matters.
Battery and charging
Both phones list a 5,000 mAh typical battery and 25 W charging. Capacity is the same on paper, but real battery life depends on use, network conditions, and settings. Samsung says the 25 W charger is sold separately for both models, so check the box contents and budget for a compatible charger if needed.

- You want a sharper FHD+ AMOLED display.
- You value OIS on the listed rear camera and the higher-resolution front camera.
