The closest storage comparison is between the 256GB versions. The V70 is also sold with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM at that capacity; Apple lists iPhone 17 storage options of 256GB and 512GB.

Specifications are from the manufacturers’ India pages: Apple iPhone 17 technical specifications and vivo V70 India specifications. The manufacturers’ battery figures describe different things—playback time versus capacity and charging power—so they do not establish which phone lasts longer in comparable use. Likewise, camera megapixel counts and published hardware alone do not determine photo quality.
Which phone has the better display and performance?
Screen size and refresh rate
The V70 has the larger panel: 6.59 inches compared with 6.3 inches on the iPhone 17. Both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120Hz. The quoted dimensions and rates do not indicate which display is brighter or more accurate in real-world use.

Apple names its chip as the A19, while vivo lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. No comparable benchmark results are established here, so the chip names should not be treated as a measured performance ranking.
How do the cameras differ?
The iPhone 17 has two 48MP rear cameras: a main camera and an ultra-wide. Apple also describes optical-quality 2x telephoto capability from the main camera; that is not a separate telephoto camera. The V70 adds a dedicated 50MP OIS telephoto camera alongside its 50MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultra-wide.

For selfies, Apple identifies a Center Stage front camera, while vivo describes a 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera. These are manufacturers’ descriptions, not evidence from matched photo or video tests. The V70’s separate telephoto lens is the clearest hardware distinction for buyers who specifically want a dedicated telephoto camera.
What do the battery and resistance claims mean?
Apple publishes up to 30 hours of video playback and says the phone can reach up to 50% charge in 20 minutes when used with a 40W-or-higher adapter and cable. Apple says the adapter is sold separately. vivo lists a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery and 90W charging. Since these are different kinds of specifications, they should not be read as a direct battery-life contest.

Apple rates iPhone 17 IP68 for submersion up to 6 metres for up to 30 minutes under IEC 60529. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 for V70. Ratings are not a guarantee against damage in every situation, and the published labels alone do not establish equivalent real-world protection.
Apple iPhone 17 vs vivo V70 price difference in India
Apple’s India purchase page surfaced ₹99,900 for the 256GB iPhone 17 and ₹1,24,900 for the 512GB model. However, Apple’s India product page and its September 2025 launch announcement gave ₹82,900 as a starting price. Those official Apple figures conflict; the ₹82,900 launch starting price should not be presented as an uncontested current checkout price.
