The OnePlus 15 and Samsung Galaxy S26 FE are both large Android phones, but their published specifications point to different priorities. OnePlus lists a larger battery, a higher maximum refresh rate for gaming and three 50MP rear cameras; Samsung lists a lighter phone, a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera and an explicit long-term software-support commitment. The launch prices available here come from different countries, dates and configurations, so they do not establish which phone costs less in your market.

What the specifications mean in practice

Display and performance

The OnePlus 15 has the higher listed maximum refresh rate: up to 165Hz in gaming, compared with the Galaxy S26 FE’s 120Hz. That describes display capability, not the frame rate a particular game will sustain or how smoothly either phone performs over time. The listed processors are Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for OnePlus and Exynos 2500 for Samsung; without matched independent tests, these specifications alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming or demanding workloads.

Cameras and zoom

Both phones have a 50MP main camera with OIS and separate ultrawide and telephoto cameras. OnePlus lists a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom; Samsung lists an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Those hardware details do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. Megapixel counts and zoom ranges are not substitutes for comparative camera testing.

Battery and charging

OnePlus lists 7,300mAh typical equivalent capacity, while Samsung lists 4,900mAh. The larger stated capacity does not by itself prove longer real-world battery life: screen settings, signal conditions, software and workload all affect endurance. Charging figures also need a regional qualifier. OnePlus’s global page lists 120W wired charging, but its U.S. page lists 80W; both list 50W wireless charging. Samsung’s launch materials list 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, with actual charging results dependent on the adapter and conditions.

Software support and weight

Samsung makes a specific support commitment: up to seven major Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. The OnePlus specifications page identifies OxygenOS 16.0 based on Android 16, but the sources cited here do not give a comparable support duration. The Galaxy S26 FE is listed at 193g, lighter than the OnePlus 15’s 211g or 215g depending on color; the difference may matter if you carry or hold your phone for long periods.

These prices use different currencies, regions, dates and memory configurations. Converting one currency into another would not make them comparable, and launch prices do not necessarily match current retailer prices. To find the real price difference for you, compare current prices in the same country and for equivalent storage tiers. Samsung’s India launch offers, if applicable, may have expired; check the current local listing.

Which phone should you choose?

Choose based on the features that matter to you, then verify the exact regional model and current local price. Manufacturer specifications cannot settle questions of real battery life, camera quality, sustained gaming performance or processor speed; look for independent comparisons that test both phones under matched conditions before treating those as deciding factors.

  • Consider the OnePlus 15 if its listed 7,300mAh battery, up-to-165Hz gaming refresh rate, 50MP triple-camera setup or higher listed telephoto zoom best fits your priorities. Confirm the wired charging specification for your market: OnePlus lists 120W globally and 80W on its U.S. page.
  • Consider the Galaxy S26 FE if Samsung’s stated seven-upgrade/seven-year support policy, lighter listed weight, or 3x optical telephoto camera is more important to you. Check your country’s available memory and storage configurations.
  • Compare local prices before deciding if cost is the deciding factor. The North American OnePlus and Indian Samsung launch figures above are not a valid same-market price comparison.
